I figured what robot tanks are. They are Yuri spies :D. Yuri said "here's a unit I can't mindcontrol, it hovers over water, cheaper then grizzly tanks, they are very cool, use them against me :D". And once you do, you are a dead :D

The robos actually did good land wise, but there was no answer for yuri air which also happens to be the robo's biggest weakness

Ludo relied too much on robot tanks even though his lab tech was available. He should've switched to Mirages. Robot tanks are useful early on, but they're still basically faster Grizzlies that can cross water, but with the same poor range, firepower, and even less armor so they can't really accomplish anything once Yuri has tech.
