I don't think I have enough milk & cookies to convince Santa to sneak this pedal under my tree.

Sounds ENORMOUS. Really reminds me of multiple, well set, stacked gain pedals in a sequence. Each stage with a different gain character and EQ shape. So much dimension. I think this pedal might two the line between something like a Rat and a Russian Muff perfectly.

The Toki sounds so great! 29 always blows me away! Great review (as always!)!

That sounds awesome! Great playing. I just oredered a Monarch Reverb+, and might have to add this pedal to the board. I have to ask, whats that beautiful black guitar you're playing?

If 29 came out with a Compressor and a Reverb I can see myself going for a full 29Pedalboard😊 love their stuff

a 29 pedals comp would be insane

Not for nothing but I can get a very similar sound on my Earthquaker Devices Bit Commander fuzz. Just using the drive portion of the pedal. Definitely more affordable than 29 's toki fuzz.

Hey mark would you be able to help me chose 4 drive pedals to help me cover all sort of gain needs?! Thanks
@lilymakesnoiseАй бұрын
no one should decide your pedals but you, just try some and use what you like

@ that’s just a negative way to see it; if I was in the united states 🇺🇸 and have the luxury of trying all the pedals available at the stores to then make purchases then it would be a easier resolution. Hope that helps your extend your understanding. ✌🏼

Try the Kernom Ridge or the Chase Bliss Automatone. They are pricey but will give you just about every overdrive sound available. Or just get the four staples: Tube Screamer, Blues Breaker, RAT, KLON. There are plenty of inexpensive versions of these available almost everywhere. You can see what you prefer and go from there. Have fun!

Jcm 900 into mxr overdrive into muff is the sound of the early pumpkins. Maybe more Siamese for the muff stuff.

Hearing some moments reminiscent of Chris Whitley's "Din of Ecstasy" in there. Which is dangerous for my wallet.
