29 - Smartforms - Ways of Debugging

hey, one question comes to mind when I get to this chapter: you mentioned that, in addition to being a good practice, SAP recommends initialization in a pilot program. so far, so good. you finally came back to smartform initialization during the training (for demonstration purposes i think). my question is this: when you approach a customer's smartforms from the beginning, is it advisable to immediately create a driver program? or is it recommended to start with smartforms initialization and then migrate to a program? thank you for your answer.

There are 2 possibilities - 1) We are creating smartform for SAP standard process. We only need to develop the smartform and the selection logic is already in the SAP standard program. 2) It is not a standard process. We need to create both smartform and driver program and from the starting itself we write the selection logic in driver program not in initialization.

Have one doubt sir? Can we place external break points for normal finction module and can we place session break points for bapi fm?

Hello - Please refer the below mentioned video. You will get the complete understanding. If you want to debug the code with in SAP system, both are same. Hello Surya, It is not a feasible requirement . We can not print 10 fields of one smartform in another smartform. From the Program, We can pass data of 10 columns in one smartform and data of rest of the columns in another smartform.
