stuie46 I had one too, was a gun metal grey 1988. Was lowered 90ml 🙈 sounded great with full Magnex stainless steel exhaust & Baileys dump valve 👍

Dixie Normus I had a red one. Being only 20 at the time I couldn't afford any upgrades as insurance was sky high.

I have a one currently with a T"25 running 23psi never fails to put a smile on my face and they are actually reliable if you tune them properly and not just wind the boost up without adjusting the fueling like people did back in the day, Air fuel ratio guages are a god send

I had 4 of them back then, phase 1 electric blue, a phase 2 black, a tungsten grey and the rare 'Raider' edition too. Used to fit a gp.a paddle clutch, head gasket, chargcooler and jet the carb with a roller bearing turbo.... ended up just snapping offside driveshafts and breaking gearboxes all the time with silly boost. It was crazy fast, but wound up the torque steer to unsafe levels even with a quick-rack fitted.

Ah le monstre du groupe B ! Quel époque ! Pour l'avoir vu en vrai elle est réellement impressionnante. Le vénérable cleon crashé 350 ch sur la maxi d'usine. Véritable voiture de course a voir d'urgence !

its midengine, no discussion, well midengine behind the seats. Because the normal fwd version is also midengine, but front-mid engined as the whole engine sits behind the front axle :)

Difficile da credere... direi invece che l'hanno preparata bene, ottimo assetto: invece, di norma, la R5 Alpine è sempre stata famosa, oltre x l'ottimo motore, per un piccolo difetto: sottosterza come poche altre. E le sospensioni rigide ovviamente peggiorano la cosa, soprattutto sul bagnato (esperienza personale). Hai voglia a dare calcetti al freno in accelerazione... lo sterzo proprio non lo sente (e diventa leggero leggero...l'unica che si comporta ancora peggio è un'altra Renault, la vecchia Clio). Secondo me, x riuscire a farla sbandare così, quando esce dalle curve (insomma, ad 'addomesticare' la sua tendenza ai 'dritti'), devono averla zavorrata davanti, e nemmeno poco

La tua R5 Alpine è ovviamente molto diversa da questa qui. Probabilmente se non fosse per il roll bar, peserebbe ancora meno. La mia R5 GT Turbo in ordine di marcia con serbatoio a metà, e ruota di scorta nella sua gabbia, messa su una pesa per veicoli ha dato 855 kg. La pesa era molto precisa perché ha rilevato correttamente anche il mio peso in solitaria su di essa. Quindi con 290 cv, sbanda senza nessun problema.
