Hey everyone! 👋🏽! Here's the second style of pants in the pant series. It is the wide/flare leg using Simplicity 8177. Simplicity 8177 is a Misses’ duster length coat or vest, long or short sleeve knit top and wide leg pants with cuff and high waistband.

Thank you so much Talisha! The fabric is so nice and great for the pants. Thank goodness I have 6 more yards of this fabric to redo the whole outfit. The pants are fire 🔥🔥🔥. I just want to feel comfortable in them and not feel like if I swat down the seam is going to bust. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You are absolute correct! MG patterns are nice, however, I should of known to measure the waist. I was more focus on the hips to make sure they fit there because that is always my problem area with pants making sure the fit is good in the hips and crotch, which for this pattern is great, however, the waist is for someone who is snatched and under a 33" waist. I need a good inch to inch and a half to be comfortable for me in the waist.

I have this pattern and made just the long duster. The duster was extra long so I had to cut off 10 inches...I'm only 4' 11". You did a great job! RYS! 😊

Thank you so much! Yes the duster is super long and I'm 5'6 and it comes to my knees. I will redeem myself and make a follow up video to this video once I sew them together and satisfied with the fit of the pants. The pants are gorgeous I will not lie, but until I lose more weight in the waist, they will be sitting in my closet or given to my sister with a smaller waist.

Yeah her pattern just seem like it's a little small because I did that twice the jacket was tight the pants came out good they was a little tight you can't do a 5/8 seam allowance on that if you doing a size 18 cuz that's besides I did a size 18 and it still came out a little tight and I had to take it back out

I think it makes a cute outfit but I can understand your frustration. BTW, when you say a fabric is 100% Ankara, I think you really mean 100% cotton Ankara fabric. Try it again and you'll nail it.

I bought that pattern when it was first released, but still haven't used it. Too much re-drafting is needed. I've always been fashionably tall and athletically trim. However, Mimi's patterns favor short-to-medium, heavy figures. They also tend to be hoochie-tight which is not my style. I'll eventually get around to making this pattern because some luxury-class stretch velour was bought specifically for it.

These will be the second Mimi G patterns for pants, but after this pattern... I think I will move on to a different pattern and not try another pant pattern by her for now.

@@rochelle.handmade.designs Have you tried Vogue patterns? They stupidly discontinued the fabulous Paris and American Designer lines that made them famous years ago, but they have decent basic lines without Mimi's gimmicks. Glad I kept some of their timeless classics.

The waistband is a little tricky how you have to turn it on the wrong side. I don't have the pattern cut but I might do it on a live just to sew it together.
