If you’re always up at this time, you would have a blast navigating the city. That 40 or so minute ride would be double during normal hours because of congestion 😂.

Thanks for providing good video for super 73. I also currently live in nyc and am thinking to buy the super 73 between S2 and Rx. Do you think Rx is better option or is S2 enough to ride in nyc? Thanks!
@eyebahnrides6 ай бұрын
thanks for joining us on this late night ride and welcome to the channel! I'm happy to showcase how S73's can thrive in a city like NYC. It may not be the fastest nor the quickest but the community around it is incredible and it's perfect for city commuting. I wouldn't recommend it to people that live in rural areas where the roads are 50+mph but at that point, I would recommend getting an eMoto anyways. As long as folks know what to expect, it's a great bike! I would say it depends on your budget and depends preference. The RX took some work to get perfectly comfy for the streets of NYC ( new seat/ softer spring since I'm a little under 200lbs/street tires with puncture resistant lining), but it really eats up alot of the craziness the streets can throw at me. Everyone that rides my RX is like wow, it's hard to go back to a hard tail. However, I did ride a buddy's S2 recently and it was incredibly comfy because of the fat tires and the seat that he had. In full transparency, I felt that that it was more than enough for NYC. If you can get one preowned in great condition, the S2 would be an easy homerun because it allows you to spend the rest of your cash on the fun mods that you'll be adding to it! I hope this helps!

Love the cockpit of that bike - looks like the area between e-bikes & big-bore ICE scooters is narrowing. Not sure how loud that powertrain sounds to the naked ear, but I can't say I'm a fan of the racket. If the noise is unintentional & unavoidable, then all is forgiven. The Super73 RX is biting at the heels of "electric motorcycle" & I can already smell the legislation brewing around what goes in the bike path & what goes on the road. If e-bikes keep improving, I'll definitely consider one when their performance can match, say, a Corolla. 99% of my driving is < 80km/h (50mph), but with my Apollo Phantom scooter & its 10" wheels, speeds above ~35mph are only relaxing if the roads are smooth the winds aren't strong. I love & prefer e-scooters, but I see e-bikes taking over for 50mph+ in the future. Sitting down is more comfortable, larger wheels mean more stability & any attempt at a wind fairing won't act as a sail for crosswinds to yoink you into another lane.
@eyebahnrides7 ай бұрын
thanks for joining us for the ride! The cockpit is actually just the display on the left. The screen in the middle is the "Dashboard" feature in the app used to customize the controller. I'm not sure if we'll ever see S73 really blur the lines of ebike/ emoto because they still want to stay within that class 2/ class 3 ebike. However, I am excited to see them finish up that proper eMotorcycle they're working on. I would love to have one of those so that I can take it on to the highway so that I can visit my parents in NJ with out taking the car! I'll ask my buddy Al to see if how he feels about having the fairings on his Revv 1. But you're right though. As much as I love riding my scooter around, its just so much more comfortable to ride a fat tire ebike like the s73.

@eyebahnrides7 ай бұрын
thanks for joining us for the ride and welcome to the channel Matthew. I'm going to assume you me the Fluid Vista. The Vista is a great commuter scooter that can tackle most of what NYC can throw at it because of the solid tires. It's also IP rated so you'll be able to use it much more than the Mantis. You have plenty of range and enough power to keep up with most situations. The only things that you'll have with the mantis is much more aggressive acceleration and a slight bump in top speed. My suggestion would be to try it out at FFR BK and see if you like it. Ask for my friend Chuck and he'll take care of you.

Can I ask quick two Qs for Super 73? If you were buying super 73 between Rx Brooklyn and S2, which one do you buy based on your experience? since both are same price around 3200. The other Q is do you recommend to buy super 73 in the store like the one in west village in new york or the website? Thanks a lot!!!
@eyebahnrides6 ай бұрын
thanks for joining us on this ride therapy session. I personally would opt to have the suspension if it's around the same price. Everyone that has tried my bike has loved the comfort of it. However, please keep in mind that you'll need a lighter spring if you're closer to 200lb. The 550lb spring that comes stock with the bike is quite stiff but works well. I opted to drop down to a 350lb spring and I weigh over 200 lb with gear. Buying from an official retailer like Last Mile is always a great option because they will help you when it comes to repairs and warranty questions. Generally, there is premium for buying from a boutique shop like theres but it's worth it if you'll need the help down the line. I purchased my bike from them 2 years ago. I hope this helps.

Thanks for joining us for this 2am ride and welcome to the channel! Congrats on making the decision to get a S73 👊🏼. I think you’re more likely got get robbed for a Surron/ E dirt bike rather than a S73. I also store my bike in my apartment and in a bike room at work so it’s pretty secure. I also never leave my bike out of my sight unless I’m with a group of friends. I don’t know if there’s a way to prevent getting robbed other than what we normally do as NYers. In the future, I hope I can make videos faster and more efficiently when I get a new computer for editing/work. My current computer just takes a while to export footage and constantly crashes if I work on Final Cut Pro too long lol. When that time comes I hope that I can bump up to 2 videos a week. As the channel grows and becomes a financial vehicle capable of supporting my family, my goal is to further increase the videos and cover a wider range of experiences (i.e. new PEVS, reviews, emotos, BTS vlogs, and riding POVs in more locations!). For now, thank you for supporting the channel at its current schedule. I hope the higher quality of video/sound makes it worth the wait!

I’m the same way . Listening to the motor and city and there goes the music. Most add in music and I’m not sure why . Not as relaxing to watch when you have the sound of the motor , the city and music all rolled together . I ended up stopping part way because the music gets to me after a bit . Other wise really good video

Don't mind hearing you speak. Your riding by all kinds of things to talk about.

thanks for watching the video and thank you for the feedback. On these types of videos, I'm going to avoid talking except for the intro and the outro because I want it to be about the sound of the motor, the sound of the tires, the sounds of the city, and the music playing in the background. This is going to have a separate playlist from the ridevlogs but will be in the rotation.
