Thanks for this topic and I am thinking🧠. Remind us to think😊 Inside Information: Jesus equipped the three not with earthly swords, to prepare them for 'war in the garden' and to prepare them for transformation of their mind. They had painted/ gotten used to Jesus as the Lion of Judah and time had come for the Lion to become a slain Lamb. That can be a great shock to see your master being humiliated. I think that is why Jesus treats them with God's glory and Moses and Elijah being present. Peter after denying Christ, He came back to his senses. He had seen the glory while Judas who had separated himself from Jesus, Source of comfort and others, on seeing the Lamb being led to be killed, he could not stand what he saw. He thought that Jesus would escape from enemies as usual. The Holy Spirit will give us inside information according to our needs and if we keep together, meeting with brethrens and equipping each other with the Word. Whenever we isolate ourselves, we miss out on the inside information. God knows who needs 5, 2 or 1 information. Some need milk, some need tough fibers. So the three that went with Jesus probably needed to see the glory of God, not dispair or commit suicide

Favourite vs chosen one. Matthew 5:45 that ye may be the children of your Father who is in Heaven. For He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. According to Matthew 5:45, it seems God does not favour but He chooses to serve us all that He created until we also learn from Him and choose Him. A married woman has two leaders: God and her husband. Who is the favourite?😊 A child has a heavenly Father and earthly father, who is the favourite? Love is commitment and duty. We love both God and the earthly leaders. God is a jealousy God. Favouritism vs acknowledgement Rebekah favoured Jacob, Isaac favoured Esau and there was trouble in the family.
