After her amazing performance the host asked her to show the audience what she had done to a bow in warm up and she pulled out a broken bow. She said it had cost 5k. And this was years ago. Well now, bow strings are expensive. And you're expected 4 hours of playing. I saw these guys (I think) in real life in Vienna before fame. They had many more bows at the ready. That wasn't really much an option until the 90s.
