Many Croatian innocent citizens and soldiers gave their own life in Homeland war between 1991y.-1995y. Second song - 'Ne dirajte mi ravnicu' is deep inside our hearts and souls. Song telling us that after all the agony and destruction of war where we die together. We are thinking about our lives and returning to our devastated homes after war is over. 😌

Rough translation: Tonight, my good people, don't ask anything of me. Let the tears quietly flow so it will hurt less. Do not bother me tonight, In memory (honor) of me. Don't touch my fields/plains (the region of Croatia where this song originates is rural country and was hit hard during the war and many people were forced to leave their homes) For I will return. Deep down I still hear my mother how she sorrowfully says, When you finally return, I will be waiting for you. Do not bother me tonight, In memory (honor) of me. Don't touch my fields/plains For I will return. My fields still call to me as does the tambure (Tambure is a traditional string instrument from the region) Before I close my eyes, if I could once more see you again. Do not bother me tonight, In memory (honor) of me. Don't touch my fields/plains For I will return.

@@tomislavb5760 That is beautiful! It brought tears to my eyes! I was lucky to have a friend in high school that came to the state I live in here in America via foreign exchange and he told us a little bit about Croatia and Slovenia's history and the war of independence. I remember actually crying and getting so upset about all the fatalities and then when I read up more on it later I was just in awe at the resilience of the countries. They are playing two very known and beloved croatian songs - Vilo moja ("My fairy", originaly sung by Vinko Coce, you can check it on youtube) and Ne dirajte mi ravnicu ("Don't touch my plains", by Miroslav Škoro). First one is love song, and is from part of Croatia called Dalmatia (by the Adriatic sea), the second one is patriotic, expressing love and longing for homeland of man who has been expelled from it during the war. This song is from Slavonia (inland of Croatia, heavily suffered in croatian war for independence).

Yes the songs are very emotional for Croatians because they speak of love for our land and country.

This song is devoted to my province of Slavonia that suffered harshly during the war. Alltså called as the unofficial anthem of Slavonia.

Vilo Moja My fairy Almost every time When we look at each other You don't even return the hello Like we don't know each other If I could only call you to me When you want to fall asleep Before your first dream I'd tell you That I still love you. My fairy You are my dream, you are my dream And it would be easier If you were a stranger to me If I haven't known you If I didn't know you.

Lijepa dalmatinska pjesma i hrvatska, iz vremena rata, obe divne e dirljive, pravo u srce, bravi 2cellos, ❤️🎻🍀🙏🍀🎻💐🇭🇷🙏❤️
