My son is 6 years old. He has autism & we are currently waiting for ADHD evaluation. He is part of DISD special needs program & is moving from school to school. I am really getting tired of making diffrent trips every school year. We were thinking should we just homeschool... Well my son is showing interest in numbers & i don't mean 1-10 he loves to say big numbers such as 10,500... 100,000... Ect & he knows how to say it correctly. He is also getting into addition. He says mom lets play plus & equals. When we do this i just see his face light up & he is ready to sit & learn when it comes to anything numbers... His dad & i talked again & we decided to keep him in school we will just deal with the moving from school to school... And i know one day a teacher will see his gift.

My 7 y/o was just diagnosed with gifted and adhd, teachers noticed her giftedness since preschool she started k at 4 y/o Her K- teacher was terrible towards her and so her emotional dis regulation stared that year and we finally got a teacher in 2nd grad to understand her and be patient with her. She finally doesn’t feel like a bad student. Teachers make a huge impact on kids like this!!!Hopefully now we can get a plan in place for her school and ready for 3rd grade.

Gifted children, learn from helping others. We need leaders who are not only gifted, but understand others.

❤ Thanks so much for this video. It describes my daughter and her experiences impeccably. She’s now nearly 21 and in university and suffering from EF as you describe. Currently, we are working together to find her supports and update her psychological testing. I’m hoping to rewatch this video together. Keep up your amazing work with these amazing children and educating all.

Thank you Seth for puting all this valuable information out there, it´s so relatable and I am sure it is potentially life changing for many children and parents in urgent need of orientation. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD at 41, when my inability to finish a Phd in a top tier university knowing exactly what I had to do but being incapable of doing it confirmed that was something going on beyond my control, but even though the diagnosis made a lot of sense in a lifechanging manner, I also felt that my experience was quite different from those described by most scholars in the area and people with the condition. Researching more about my symptoms I came across the concept of 2e and things started to look clearer to me. Unfortunaly in my country the recognition of adult adhd is low and even less so of 2e adults. Do you know of any resources on 2e adults that could help me and others to understand this condition better? (particularly when there is a long history of lacking systems and habits due to an untreated condition).
