Hello. Today's video is a guitar and synth cover of "Essex Dogs", released on their self-titled album "Blur" in 1997. I also recorded bass and synth bass lines to avoid getting caught by copyright. Essex Dogs always wondered how he managed to achieve all that noise and make it sound so good and now that I look at it, it wasn't that complicated, is so creative

hi there and thanks for your view! i know what you mean, this song has fascinated me for years and years! i tried my best to recreate it by listening to both the studio version and the glastonbury 98 version. i think the most challenging part was to map out the studio version and play to it, but i'm sure they probably have played like 30-minute versions of essex dogs while creating it. i would love to see footage of it someday if it exists!

A little too far from me, lol! I'm in Philadelphia. I have the same guitars, pedals with the right succession on the pedal board as Graham uses to have in the late 90's when he used the double Rat2, the Boss Vibrato (the blue one!) etc.

hi there, thanks so much for your comment! i'm using the classic boss dd3 digital delay pedal, which is the same one graham used for "essex dogs" I THINK. most of it is played using the "hold" function :)
