I had a rude awakening with this alarm system I was getting up and all of a sudden, I hear “Alarm! Hallway Motion Detector I tripped over a chair trying to run to the panel and disarm the system Turns out my grandpa set the alarm to Away instead of Stay when he left for church

The same thing happened to me. My mom was leaving for work and my dad was with me and she hit away instead of stay so i went downstairs, and as soon as I took a step on the kitchen floor boom the alarm went off.

Same, I had a monitronics which had the same panel sfx and my dad and brother would always trip the alarm (we lived in 2 story and motion was downstairs) in the middle of the night for water so basically this is engraved in my memory

How do you do the no entry delay?

Tap the "Security" button, followed by the "Arm " button, then you will see the "entry delay" button at the top the right corner. Tap that button to uncheck the entry delay feature.

Mine has that alarm and it needs a new battery so if the lights go out it doesn’t work but when the lights come out it goes off for 1 second scares the crap out of me

I have the same system in my house and store but I don't have the other siren just the alarm key pad siren and they will call in like 5 to 10 seconds and see if everything is good

@Joshua Lawson If you don't enter the code within 30 seconds, The keypad will notify the central station to see if anything is okay.

​@iangonzalez1937 that's also true we now have the same alarm systems in all 10 of my stores and they work the glass brake system works great as well I had someone brake in a couple of months ago and the alarm went off immediately and I got the call with in 15 seconds because of having the glass brake sensors I also have the same thing in my house if vibrate any of my doors or windows hard it will go of fast and come too me and abco security immediately how if you open the door normal them you got 30 seconds if you don't disable from your phone first.

I suspect that perhaps he hooked up the keypad wires to the power and bell terminals on the back of the 2Gig® panel and connected one pair of the keypad wires at the panel end to the power input wires from the DSC® system and connected the other pair at the panel end of the keypad wires to the panel end of the siren wires and swapped out the DSC® transformer for the 2Gig® one.

I don’t trust that alarm company, they are sketchy. My grandpa’s went off and they didn’t even call to check on him, that pissed me off 💀

It's not the alarms fault, if you have an alarm that is not monitored, then authorities will not arrive. Let's say you have a house fire and the alarm goes off. If you do not have a monitoring system on your alarm company then authorizes won't arrive, if you still don't trust ADT, then tryout Vivint.

Note: You can switch the company on the alarm system you have but still have the same system.
