You’ve got a vinyl cutter Jimmy, if you ever do the clear cover again on another car, you can cut the Toyota in reverse and use it as a mask and paint from the inside, like an RC car body. Then peel and paint in the logo. It’ll be on the inside too so you’d never scratch the paint. I paint RC for a living. Oh and if it sucked, just trim black like you did anyway ;)

Little trick of the trade for the coils. You can use a small magnet like one on the back of a pocket driver. Hold it right about the coil and you should feel or see the magnet moving

You missed a trick with the clear cover, you could have printed " Toyota - Oakes Garage" or whatever in vinyl, laid it down the middle, sprayed the cover as you did, then peeled the vinyl off and it would have left the writing clear and underneath still visable

@14:07 fill the logo with Vaseline, then use a smooth rag with wax and grease remover to go over the surface layer removing all Vaseline from surface, but leaving it in the grooves of the emblem. now pain cover, let dry and was away the Vaseline with paint over the top of it. you now have a clear front cover, with painted back cover and then still has the toyota symbol in clear. no paint stick ;) hard trick to dial in, but once you get it rite, i use a piece of poster board to keep a nice flat profile to the curvature of the surface of the part to be painted, that way you are pushing Vaseline into crevice's of logo, and cutting all access that sticks above logo, and making sure all lines of the logo are crisp to the surface of the part. hard concept but once you try it and dial it in. it works amazingly!!! try on some test parts with crap logos you just wanna get the method down for. it works awesoely!
