This is a 60Hz monitor. It's not 120Hz nor 144Hz. Be advised if you want a fast monitor for video game. I would aim for the 400nits and 120Hz (Uplays C2) for more balance.

Hello, thats a great review and very insightful! I want to buy this screen for outside use probably with a sunshade for flying fpv and using it as a monitor. I cant help but ask, do you think it really is 500nits? How does it look when used outside on a sunny day?

It’s almost perfect except for that 60hz refresh rate. I don’t know why manufacturers don’t just sell extra higher tech laptop screens. Big gap in the market in my opinion.

The market may not be big enough. Not many laptops can support outputting over 60hz. They may be capable on paper but just don’t have enough enough gpu power. You need something like a 3080ti.

@@TechScrutiny I don't think companies would make these portable screens to begin with if no one was buying. But people are buying, so there must be a good market for them. I think the lack of high end portable screens (2k or 4k with 120 to 144 refresh) has more to do with the profit margins not being big enough to sell them on their own yet. I'd bet we'll start seeing the high end portable options in the next 1-2 years. But a high end 16" portable screen should also cost half as much as my 32" 2k 180hz screens. Right now they're priced about equal.

How’s the latency? From the video it looks like there about a 200ms delay from your laptop panel.

these are two different browser windows playing the same file, as I didn't mirror the screen, so it might not be playing 100% in sync, so just a human factor.

Thanks for the review. It's a shame they didn't configure the ports so it can be used in portrait mode without the cables reducing flexibility out or more adapters. Putting the ports on the long side would have solved that.

You should try the 120hz one. Because I’m going on a tour with a cousin who’s a singer around America for a bit, and I take FPS seriously when it becomes to deep gaming. So I can connect it to my PS5

Hi, I bought this exact same model and there are some spots which have backlight bleed. How about your monitor, do you have the same problem? Also how about its plastic body? Does it hold well after a long period of time?

​@@TechScrutiny Hi, honestly I don't know whether the blacklight bleeds on my unit is considered normal or not. Maybe your unit also has backlight bleed but you're just used to it. Can you check whether when at a fully black screen your unit has white light coming out of right and left spots from the bottom chin or not? Thanks

Well, thanks for mentioning the problem with the colors. I was about to buy it but in my experience, people are pretty bad at remarking obvious color deviations. If someone says is not perfect, in reality is garbage. And I don't trust any color compensations made from the osd of these chinese monitors . It just introduces a general tint.

I wouldn't say there is a problem with the colors per se but you do need to adjust them, as the contrast and few other things are off. On the upside the monitor has quite a few settings to adjust the color. Probably the most I've ever seen. But it doesn't look as good a QLED or an OLED monitor. The downsides of those are the price and having a glossy screen.

Next time you review something portable it would be nice to mention it's size and show it compared to the laptop for example. Also it would be nice to say few things about the cover. Does it come with the display? What positions does it offer, is it enough to keep the screen safe while traveling? etc. Thanks

He just showed it on a table which is nice but when the device is portable I'm mostly interesting it's portability. That means dimensions compared to laptop and it's weight. I can lookup specs myself but video should have it in more digestible hand's on fashion with some personal thoughts and experiences...

Do you have a Xbox series s/x or ps5 to test if this monitor can do 1080p or 1440p @ 120hz because Amazon reviews are claiming only 1080p 60hz is only showing up.

I have had nothing but issues with mine. It arrived with no stand, then the sockets for USB-c and the mini HDMI port would not work, then it did decide to work with the Apple USB-c thunderbolt cable, now it constantly flickers and I have to screw around at least three or four times a day to get the picture to stabilise, sometimes the image goes completely. This is clearly cheap Chinese junk designed to scam unsuspecting consumers - NEVER BUY CHINESE. The vendor offered me a partial refund or a return but I am unable to accept a return without a replacement first as I will not be able to use my computer, so I am stuck with this garbage. I have watched the troubleshooting video it does not solve anything. The power for the display comes through the USB-c.
