It does feel that way I'm just as frustrated as everyone else and feel for those with even worse issues than myself but I won't accept that tons of players are being forced out of playing the game they paid for because some developers can't be bothered to prioritise them and fix their issues! I hope this is resolved soon and will keep trying I think a bigger creator is needed to get sledgehammer sweating a bit so hopefully someone will help out!

I play on an Xbox One S and it’s really bad for me. I am legit infuriated because I too genuinely like playing this game and it’s killing me that I can’t because 5 minutes into a match, I’m stuttering to the point where I’m gonna give myself a seizure. I sent messages to their support and it’s basically been useless. I’m not a confrontational person but I did blast them out in those messages. This is ridiculous. I find it interesting that the issue was also starting to spread to other consoles and PC as well. maybe they will finally care once every single player is affected. 🙄 Additionally, part of me wonders if this glitch was done intentionally as a way to get back at Activision and Microsoft for laying off all the bug testers several months ago. Seems like it would be a good way for the devs to “stick it to them” if you know what I mean.

Still lagging like mad on Xbox One, but if I play on Series S I get no lag at all, so it’s definitely a console related issue, wether they are trying to force us to upgrade consoles I’m not sure, but it renders my Xbox One useless basically, and like you said, if I can buy the game on Xbox One (which I did), then it should be compatible with that console without any issues..

For me and many others it seems, you get on call of duty, you start up a game and the game plays fine for the first half of the game, then it starts lagging a little bit and continuously gets worse for the rest of the game to the point it’s unplayable. Then you try to play another match and it starts off laggy.

I looked for info on July 3rd/4th, because thats when i couldnt stand it anymore. No info online, servers were up, so i switched to ethernet, factory reset console (Xbox One S), and even disassembled the console to clean out the dust. After all that, still kept happening, so i bought a Series X. I imagine a bunch of people did that because no one was talking about this. I saw all this too late, but i appreciate you educating others and hopefully saving some of their hard earned dollars.

It’s a strange issue for sure. I’d swear, it sometimes seems like it’s related to loadouts. In the sense if you touch nothing and just join a match. Nothing seems to happen right away but about 30 mins to an hour the servers seem to melt. However (in my case) if I make a change to my loadout prior to the match the servers melt instantly upon match start. I just wish they’d communicate with us even if there isn’t any news. Just keep us up to date that the issue is being worked. Thank you for keeping a spotlight on this problem.

That's an interesting observation. I believe TXG in his first video about this issue stated some players "choose a loadout" and stick with it for no lag, but I've tried and it doesn't work for me. Activision has told me to follow their social media pages, but I don't have Instagram or X and their blog and Known Issues page on their website doesn't even mention this issue. So frustrating!

Yeah and I could swear when I made a new class with a conversation kit on my holger the one that puts 2 barrels on the gun . And it has a weird rate of fire just like the kit on the Bas b has a weird fire rate. As soon as I try to play with one of them its almost instantly lag spikes. I think it's that and all these kill effects on the custom skin bundles that are messing the gameplay up. I may be wrong but it seems like its putting to much on the game and it's not able to keep up with what's going on.

No Xbox players had a chance to do the holiday challenge for the Toucan gutter knife. Time is running out for the Warzone champions challenge. And we lost two weekends of double xp events. Yesterday Activision Support stopped being friendly and just referred me to the Software Licence Agreement, and made it clear that no in game sales will be refunded. This experience has turned me off of Xbox for good. This isn't the only game where Xbox suffers more than other platforms.

Well one possible way to fix is quit putting all these stupid skins and custom ammo with different types of custom kills just think about it every one of those codes has to tell the system what's going on and if you've got 12 people in a match killing each other back to back especially on this small Maps then you throw into the mix you got 5,000 different custom skins running around then the game has to keep up with these people got shot let's turn them into a snake or make their head explode or turn them into a marijuana joint it just seems to me the game played fairly decent until they added all these little extras if they add new ones every day it seems all that code cannot keep up with what's going on that's just my theory.

Disable challenges from the setting menu and things are fixed. At least it was for me when I did this today! I’ve been dealing with massive latency spikes that would happen every couple of seconds and would start up about 5 to 10 minutes after I start the game. I saw someone else on another video mention this and had to try it out today. Ever since I’ve been able to play perfectly fine. It still happens on ground war, every once in a while though.

Just remember they did the same thing to Warzone 1 when they were pushing us to Warzone 2 before they completely cut the server. The plan is to put all their resources into B06. I doubt they will make it better.

It's not just MP, i got so annoyed at the lagging issue, that i decided to continue playing the campaign after a couple weeks of not playing it. Needless to say, the campaing is also lagging, gameplay and cut scenes. It is so frustrating. Activision, Infinity Ward, Sledge Hammer or whoever runs COD has to do something about this.

Guys the issue was always in the game. It is a netcode issue that just was under the rag. It was subtle and not easy to prove but something happened and it creates huge bottlenecks. When you feel that you are half a second slower than your opponent is because they use delay protocols,so the game appear on your screen lag free but in reality they just slow you or your opponent down in order to have the appearance of smooth gameplay. If you play fifa ,it is the same thing. Those protocols are not working so now we can see the lag issues.

I'm on an xbox one s, I've seen a bit of a fix on a reddit post and it seems to work for me so far, fix was go to settings then account and network then down to challenges and turn it off hope this helps whoevers struggling with the lag issue. Well at least until activision and sledgehammer fixes it. Like i said, it seems to have helped me so hopefully this helps others 😊

I play rebirth and zombies. I will not jump into zombies cuz I'll lose my kit, and in rebirth, the lag seems to happen when loadouts drop. Reminds me of the same issue we had in Cold War when the game would glitch after loads dropped. Funny thing is, Cold War was four games ago. I sent them this. I reached out a few days ago. I’m highly frustrated now. I have been a huge call of duty fan. Yall said a team was aware of the lag issue and were fixing it but you couldn’t give me a date. There are events going on in game and it’s been about 15 days. Is there any update? This is holding me back from my pre-ordering Black Ops 6. This latency is at 93ms. I’m shooting walls instead of players in both Warzone and Multiplayer 😩

It was better for me about 4 days ago. Now my ping is back to my normal 20 to 32ms. Despite my speeds going back to normal, you can clearly see players slow down then speed up as they engage each other. Crazy how they can't put out a bug free game at this point.

I have an X-Box One with this problem and I imagine went through the motions of most as to what we can do to improve playability such as NAT type open, changing DNS settings, blah blah blah. Nothing helps. I did find that with having to rebooting the console a bazillion times that the first match back that the game was playable without conflict for nearly the whole match but 2nd match afterwards the unplayability returns. So after 1 match I reboot play a match reboot. This works but it blows.

I found a way to end the LAGs in Rebirth that appeared about 15 days ago out of nowhere. For me it changed immediately on the PC (RX5600 XT card): - Increased the amount of memory allocated to shaders from 52GB to 64GB. - Decreases the quality of shaders - Increased texture quality to high

it is pretty straight forward. They make money off their reskinned camos and skins, The lag is secondary, you've already paid for the game, so they got their money there, no need to invest more time and money there. While people keep buying the bundles and COD points, Activision has zero reason to invest in no financial return bugs. It's why the cheaters are still running rampart. Activision gives those people a shadow ban, those cheaters go acquire a second, third or fourth copy. Why? Because apparently a shadow ban lasts precisely seven days. So a shadow ban is a financial benefit to Activision. The quickest way to get a result is to line up a class action suit. At this point, what Activision are doing is failing to deliver on a product they have sold.

Hell, I play on PS five and I still have issues with the servers latency laggy servers stuff like that. I have issues a lot. I even tried different consoles Xbox and PS4 still had the same issue.

My game is completely unplayable. Every game it’s starts off fine with no lag and within 3 min of the match Im rubber banding , stuttering and audio lags. Some of the worst lag I’ve ever experienced . It’s insane they haven’t addressed this .

So I put the game through some trials last night and discovered this: Warzone was completely fine for me, but MP and zombies were stuttering like crazy. I had a feeling Warzone would be ok because I think it’s technically it’s own separate thing and probably has its own server, which I was really happy about since it means I could at least play SOMETHING (and I love Warzone anyway), but MP was a complete mess. I tried a variety of game modes, including base modes, small map mosh pit, and even infected, but all were super laggy but I fought through it regardless. I kinda want to see if even a private match between my friends and I would lag.

So I actually played last night (because I’m stubborn), and despite one very laggy game of Warzone (which is ironic since Warzone was the only thing working for me the previous night), I didn’t have many issues. I restarted the game after that one Warzone match, played 3 others after that without any issues and also got through 5 multiplayer matches without any issues. I’m not sure if it was just a good night or maybe (just maybe) they fixed it?? I’m going to play tonight to see if the stuttering returns.

I've also got ridiculous lag on campaign. Have had the issue for the last two weeks and gave up and thought I'd do some campaign today instead. The game said no. With zombies, my latency is spiking up to 450ms regularly

I downloaded and installed it on the Xbox a few weeks ago for $100+ AUD because the young fella is using my gaming pc. The Xbox is fine for anything else. You can possibly play 1 game max before the entire game glitches into something you would assume is “massive packet lose or server related n running like you are on 1fps and 56k dialup”. Ping is fine , connection is maxed out n running perfect. I can happily film it if you would like.

I just tried to record a clip of my game lagging so hard it froze everyone in place and I was skating around, I recorded it, it gave me a recorded notification but I was lagging so hard that the recording vanished, this shit is actually crazy

I literally just started playing Warzone, specifically DMZ, because I absolutely love extraction shooters. I enjoy Activision's take on what an extraction shooter can be like. However, I have considered deleting the game for various reasons, including the lag problem. I discovered this issue only three days after I started playing DMZ. I managed to die because I was lag spiking around, and another player thought I was cheating. Another time, I was lagging at the start of a DMZ match, which was frustrating since nothing was even happening yet. The moment that really pissed me off was when my whole match was going perfectly. I was trying to get to the extraction point with some of the best loot I had ever found. I was evading bullets from every direction because there were so many bots nearby (which is another problem I can rant about for hours). I was literally just trying to jump in the water to make it harder for them to kill me. But luck was not on my side that day. As soon as I tried to jump, I lagged back up into the air and then onto the bridge I was trying to get off. I ended up dying to a damn bot.
