Alot of Berts empire was based on pure fiction. There's no definitive proof that the Tracey Morgan story ever happened, so his lies and joke stealing basically crippled Jay Mohrs career, There's no concrete evidence that the Machine story ever happened, and if it did, something on that large of a heist, it would've been headlines both in America and Russia, and I'm pretty sure the Bratva don't leave loose ends. Like people have actually gone out and investigated these claims. Bert claiming to be better at guitar then Mark Tremonti was proven to be a crock of shit, Berts "jacked shoulders" gtfohwtbs, he's no comic. He's a B level entertainer at best.

I think the “golden age” of comedians has peaked. There’s too many podcasts, too many specials, too many comedians. The ones that have a following will last and we’ll see the numbers go down to a more stable level.
@JumpCutThis8 ай бұрын
I think we’re seeing the natural order of things coming about after the lockdowns and other nonsense. I think because so many of us had ‘cut the cord’ and then were basically forced to stay home, we started paying attention to things we normally hadn’t-like podcasts, KZbin content, etc. and all these hacks saw it as a cash cow-which it was for a long time. Hell you could even call yourself a ‘thing’ (comedian, journalist, expert, scientist, etc) and then create content that slanted information in your favor and *BAM* you are what you claim to be. But now that this free-for-all has ended, the natural order is beginning to right itself. Like Segura’s stable of shows all falling off dramatically- we’re inundated with all these things and only the ones we like most are hanging on. Even then, it sorta depends on how many others feel how you do that determines if a show/person sticks around. Even streaming services are going through this-I can’t count how many people I know that shut down cable, only to pick up some crazy numbers of services that wound up costing them more than cable. Or creators putting ‘premium’ content behind paywalls; even if that person is the best thing since frosting in a can, most people aren’t subscribing (oh it’s less than a cup of coffee every day!) because even if it’s ‘only’ $5/month, doing so for 5 creators costs me almost $50/month, and I can barely afford gas, the grocery store is quickly becoming my nemesis, and just keeping the house lit and warm is a difficult task. So no, as much as I may love content from some people, I will not be paying more to see it. All these things are falling off- podcasts, streaming services, comedians, commentary content, nonsensical blathering about nothing in particular, legacy media sources, etc., and I really think it’s just how things were bound to go eventually.

This is good life advice. If you stretch yourself too thin for anything you will eventually burn out. It could be work, relationships, the gym ... You have to constantly check in with yourself and make sure you are going at a pace that is sustainable.

This’ll sounds corny but public figure/celebs are humans too and want to protect their image as much as we want to protect ours. Even if we expect them to not be up in their feelings due to them being comedians, everyone will get tired of something every once in a while. So I am also glad that 2lazy did this video. I'm glad you're going after these comedians. I was saying it before cancer culture started that comedy was dead and renting an age of a seriousness. Not necessarily people being serious but the type of comedy comedians telling us how to think was over but then cancel culture came in and it's hard to swept it and back into the spotlight. And now we're right back to people having comedians. Tell them how to think I mean and that's really the problem here
