To be fair, even Joey Diaz and others have also said that Rogan was way more uptight and hot-tempered back in the day. You can also kind of tell by watching old stuff with him. He does kind of come off as way more aggressive in general.

Yeah Joe was a a real dick back in the day even admits himself. Like many loud and angry people he was probably just insecure and was struggling with some deamons. But nice he was able too change for the better that is not the case for most assholes especially people that are past their 30s which makes Joe's change even more impressive.
@Addictbasterd

I'm sure dick was annoying but I have a hunch that joe was a fucking asshole that was against weed and would want every scene to be perfect and not care about having a good time while filming. And still joe sounds like hes over blowing how bad Andy was because he doesn't want to admit that he was a complete controlling asshole back then. It's pretty bizarre to hear.

It was "Yes, I would fk that dude up or cuss that feminist hoe out if they got up in my shyte.....Rogan is good in our book" LOL That was pretty much how 100% of ppl saw it then. I think Maron’s podcast is edited and released on a schedule. JRE is live (or was) so maybe that’s where the date issues happened Edit: also, another potential reason Joe doesn’t like Andy is that Joe repeatedly talks about how Phil Hartman was like a mentor and he was super distraught over his death. According to the rumor mill, it was Andy that brought coke to Phil’s birthday that caused his wife to relapse after ten years sober. She was high on cocaine when she killed Phil and then herself. It’s possible Joe (like Jon Lovitz and others) partially blamed Andy for that tragedy coming to pass

Also, Joe has been called crazy and a misogynist by lots of people, I truly believe Joe used to be very high-strung and combative and didn’t like women. So maybe Dick and Rogan should be together.

I do understand why people blame Andy for the indirect rôle he played in Phil Hartman's death. I suspect Andy blames himself a little bit, too. That can't be an easy thing to live with. Not making excuses for the guy. I'm just saying that sober Andy has a world of shit to atone for, and it's probably easier just to BE the drugged-out prick that everyone hates. ...because atleast he KNOWS how to be that guy, and he's good at it.

Drugs did ruin Andy, and Joe was just super disciplined when it came down to some things. Marital arts, shows, super strict, yet Andy was opposite, no rules, rule breaker, relaxed, late, hard for those two types to work on TV set. But Joe cared too much about himself and the work. He'll take out his anger.

Im amazed Rogan could tolerate andy in the News Radio days. Everyone hated andy because, whether they were justified in feeling this or not, it was a held belief on the set of News Radio that: If not for Andy, Phil Hartman would still be alive. I personally dont put the full weight of Hartmans death on andy. But he absolutely played a pivotal role in that night and i understand why the cast, especially Lovitz, blamed Andy

I haven't finished the video, but Joe sounds like that one good friend, who's hanging around that really annoying friend, because he sees something special in him, and thinks he can fix him. Maybe I'm wrong, but I know what that's like. And it wouldn't be too far fetched to think, after what he did with Brenden Schaub.
