In my opinion, the difference isn't too big. The most difference is when the zoom was applied. I think that if we need to use a zoom, we need to bought a camera with optical zoom

The advantage of 5 MP vs. 2 MP is very subtle. However, 5 MP takes up more storage space.

Hi can someone give me advice I have a 1080p camera on my prolux dvr recorder which the seller said it’s upto 5mp now if I go into my settings on the dvr recorder it only seems to go upto 1080p but if I bought a 5mp camera wil it detect it and change on the settings to 5mp wen it’s plugged in

Your dvr maybe not support 5mp.. See your dvr manual first

Your vieweng angle is different if you want to compare please use >90% as close as other...so in here the angle for yellow line too different each other. At 2mp the line looks slope down at 5mp the line looks slope up.... see at 00:30

How can i see if a seller cheated me and sent me a 2mp camera instead a 5mp? Can you advice me, please? How can i see this, other than the description on the box? How can be sure he didnt switched the cameras between them, and sent me a 2mp instead 5mp? I apreciate any help here, thank you...

I would say look at the model number of the camera.

more optimized sensor, also higher bugdet vs 2mp, but more sensor for each pixel on 5mp vs 8mp.

i didnt think it was that "dramatic?" abt the same but wont the 5 MP camera send way more information to the recorder and fill it up sooner? seems like it would? 2 MP is fine for most ppl i wud think. mostly the cameras out in the open where ppl can SEE them is going to tell ppl that U ARE ON CAMERA!!!!!!

If you are buying a new set, we would recommend IP. If you have cables from previous installation, then Analog. But analog cameras fps would be lower than IP.
