Did my clubs hill climb today and won it by 1 second to a climber who's around 50kg. Im 75kg and did a 5 min power of 451 which is around 6 watts per kilo 😃

Always enjoy seeing your preparation, hotel room, brekky etc - the “inside your head” was a great bonus. And wow that drone footage - awesome. Can’t wait for video of race no. 2 😃

Great video! Kudos to Dan for that footage as it was great to watch you flying up the hill and zipping past those in front of you. Congrats on all the progress.

Particularly liked the steward who touchingly showed temporary attention at the end at 13.21. By fleetingly supporting your saddle then immediately having his attention fully caught by something entirely unconnected with the race and in the distance. perhaps a U.F.O. who knows. Anyway well done to you for your effort and him for being so utterly transient in his duty of care. Amazing.

Great video Ed, and great drone footage. I really appreciate and value the human side of this video, both the part where you talk about managing performance anxiety and reflecting on chatting to Tom at the end. Seeing those situations through the lens of an elite rider and taking a lesson from it is so good, takes your content to another level for me. Cheers Ed!

wow. that drone footage really shows how well you were going at the top. thats defo my fav climb in that region. winnats just seemed like an ever-steepening funnel of head-wind with a pretty landscape to me. great to see you have your mojo.

Crazy short but I’m mildly excited for it Kenny!!

Proper high cadence towards the end there. Almost looks like you're riding on the flat, whereas the others are climbing a massive hill, the way you fly passed everyone else. Liked the mental approach bit. For us mere mortals it's very nice to hear what an (ex)-pro rider does, what he thinks about, how he can improve, or make a plan and stick to it.

Super, and great drone footage also! Ed rice pudding, I know you are pretty strict with what you eat, but would you recommend rice pudding for breakfast before a ride as opposed to porridge? Rice pudding is probably the only British treat I can find here in Poland,. Is it not too heavy for you considering you are climbing hills at a pretty quick rate, and I just do long gravel or Mtb rides with minimal climbing!

I only opted for it because it’s easier to travel with and get down in the morning because of its sweetness🤩

Great race, Ed! PBs every day not it seems. Looking good for nationals indeed! Which Dan was responsible for the drone? Looked really good on a HC like that, seeing you hunt people down and just flyby. No time to practice your French with them, as Phill says sometimes. :P
