I still remember the first morning after I was posted into the Ist Bn. The Bn was formed up on the Parade Square, and there was me sticking out, wearing a powder puff Air Corps beret. All eyes were on me when the order was given to '"Fall out." I was left still standing at ease, while the rest marched off.

Hi mate, my grandad is featured in one of these pictures (Corporal Dinger Bell) and I wondered if you might have seen any more pictures of him in your collection? We don't have much in the way of his army life in photo form but I regularly come back here just to see him and if you have any more I'd greatly appreciate seeing them. If not that's OK but I greatly appreciate being able to see him here, we lost him on Boxing Day around a decade ago but I remember him through this video and listening to his old regiment music, and it's meant an awful lot to me to be able to do so, so thank you sir and Merry Christmas

Hi William, Sammy passed away in 2015. I attended the cremation that was very well attended with military and prison officer associations, bugler and Regimental standards. I placed many photos on Face book. I served with Sammy for about 50 years.
