Right? In some angles it looks like a monster truck. Some angles make the tires look tiny.

Good to see you again brotha. I know you may not remember me. But I have the exact year and model as yours. I'm the guy who bought the goose gear rear third row seat delete. I love it and hate it as I wished they would have made a extended second row delete also. Anyways, the awning you have I bout 3 years ago. It is still brand new. I installed it and than took it off because my rear hatch door hits the metal awning support when the rear door is raised. I ended up buying a 8 x8 awning. Did you encounter this problem, and if so, what did you do about it.

New to your channel and loving your videos, dude. Just thinking about buying a Sequoia and trying to figure out if I want generation one or two.
@CoolGuyClub5 ай бұрын
Short list: Gen 1 is more capable off-road due to the solid rear axle but less space and less power. Gen 2 is less capable but has more power and way more space. It’s also way more family friendly.

@@CoolGuyClub yeah you’ve got me definitely leaning towards gen 2.. thank you again🙏

Love the video bud!! You’re too straight up and I love it! Question tho do I need do anything to change my wheels on my sequoia 2nd gen to 17” like changing calipers or rotors? And how big of tires can put in a sequoia once I put the 17” wheels with no lift :o?
@CoolGuyClub6 ай бұрын
Thank you! If you get a set of wheels with correct spacing you’ll clear the brakes no problem. Biggest tires you can fit on any diameter with no lift is 35 inch

Drop?! Lower it? That’s not something I can help out with, I’m sorry.
@charlesserrano39666 ай бұрын
Great sequoia. What range are you getting on full fuel tank? Auxiliary and or larger fuel tank?
@CoolGuyClub6 ай бұрын
Realistic mileage per tank (stock gearing) is about 220-250 miles. Tank is stock size. I can definitely bump that number up with a regear. To put things in perspective I get about 11-13 mpg on the highway and the tank is about 26 gallons.

Thanks for the upload! I have been following your content for a minute. If you don't mind me asking, how is the Garmin power switch working so far? I have seen some people say that it can burn out and cause flickering/intermittent issues with lights. Is it working well for you? Thanks!
@CoolGuyClub6 ай бұрын
It’s honestly a great unit but it has its flaws. It’s rock solid and hasn’t cut out or flickered but I have lost phone connectivity due to my battery dying. Which is my main gripe. The switches will STAY ON even if you forget and leave whatever you have switched on forever until your car battery dies. It needs an internal timer or switch to turn off
@nathanblake13106 ай бұрын
Great video! Maybe not the forum for this question. I have an 08 Platinum and when I am towing my temp will fluctuate up and down and sometimes get super hot. Is that a thermostat issue or a water pump / timing chain issue?
@CoolGuyClub6 ай бұрын
Hard to answer BUT you’re on the right path. The thermostat could be sticking and causing that. It happened in my gx470 up hill and I solved it in 3 hours by changing tstat. Water pump issue would be harder to diagnose it would be helpful if I knew when it was last changed.
@nathanblake13106 ай бұрын
@@CoolGuyClub I'm not sure that it ever has been. Im also in the PNW. I got the rig a month ago with 169k. I was hoping that it was the tstat, as opposed to the pump and chain.
@nathanblake13106 ай бұрын
I think that Im going to spend the $40 for the tstat and see if that fixes it.
@CoolGuyClub6 ай бұрын
Perfect. If it doesn’t, then at least you know it’s time for a water pump. Both are good things for the rig anyway.
