Nobody knew at the time. The International specials aired as part of American Gladiators and this episode would mark the end of its run. The US airings cut out the event music which really killed it for me. Also Jon Fashanu was absent.

The mens Pendulum was great. They where all very high up going around and around it. The following series contenders weren't allowed to be that high up. Disappointed Peggy fell of Pendulum, Zodiac for the first time ever had abit of trouble getting her leg caught up in the net. But when she freed her leg from the net, she was just about to make her assault down the Pendulum to catch her.

I thought that was cool seeing the Gladiators in the audience during the Eliminator, supporting their respective contenders (the Aussie Glads for Lourene {their future teammate} and Shane, and the American Gladiators for Peggy and Pat).

Gladiators & Contenders from 12 Countries: - USA - UK - Australia - Germany - South Africa - Canada - Mexico - Brazil - France - Sweden - Japan - India Seriously, this was a great alternative to not wait for the Summer & Winter Olympics, and other International Games.

You know the ironic thing? Before he was injured, in both of his previous rounds, Andrew Halliday defeated contenders who filled in for other contenders due to injury. In Heat 2, he beat Germany's Dennis Galli, who replaced Andreas Sasse after Andreas was injured on Pyramid (which would happen a couple more times during this tournament). And in the first semifinals, he beat Sean Clay of Great Britain, who was practically a last-second replacement for Mark Everitt after Mark was unable to compete due to an outside injury.

***** To be fair Loureen was neck and neck with Odita having started several seconds later - she made Odita look like an old lady up there! Even though Loureen missed the title she went back to Australia and was became 'Glacier' a Gladiator herself on Australian version. Another bit of history Loureen is a friend and former karate competitor of Australian gladiator Storm, I think she even beat her in karate competitions.

Just watching this again on Challenge. Did the guy who was trying to sort out the bottom of Lourene's zipline in the Eliminator get in her way as she was heading to the balance beam? Could be, but being a huge Flame fan, I still couldnt believe back in the day at 44:00 to see the warrior queen get knocked down. It was a shock to see her get whooped, looked like she took a nast fall too. Dont think that duel was fixed as Flame tried to KO peggy early, but Peggy got in a a good push /shot beating Flame.
