Dear Mr. Dong, Chinese solar greenhouse build and explanation you give is one of the best I've seen. I own a 2.5hectare farm and would love to have something similar to extend my growing season. And I am sharing your video with other farmers so they can see what is possible without having to use propane burners to keep their greenhouse warm enough. Thank you very much to share your knowledge of the Chinese solar greenhouse technology. Far more advanced and far more practical than what is available here in US.

Hi, Mr Dong Jianyi. First of all, thank you for producing your videos. It's an amazing thing and hopefully more and more people will try this. I have a few questions! 1... For people in cities, like myself, maybe there are mini versions too? For instance, where I live, Bylaws classify a greenhouse as a shed, and I can build or buy a 10 sq meter greenhouse but I must get and pay for a permit ( a percentage of the construction costs) if I go bigger than that. I bet that there is a large untapped market for a 10 m2 mini version! 2... I can understand why you don't want to go full "climate battery". It's way too expensive and all that digging could potentially damage your soil. But what about a smaller attempt? Maybe one 10 cm diameter or 15 cm diameter drainage pipe 70 cm deep or a meter deep and the full length of your greenhouse under the soil inside your greenhouse? You blow greenhouse air through it, it cools the air by 6 to 12 degrees, warms the soil a bit AND moisture condenses too (in the root zone!). You just have to orient the drain holes straight down so there is no standing water. I think they have "mole drainage" contractors where pipes are laid quickly and fairly cheaply with minimal soil disturbance. After going through the pipe, the cool dry air can be vented outside the greenhouse (or inside if its freezing cold). If venting outside, fresh air with more CO2 in it gets sucked in to take it's place. 3... Are the chickens for CO2 later on in the growing season? (You have your chicken house north of the greenhouse and vent their air into the greenhouse). I think a human exhales enough CO2 to bring a 10 sq meter greenhouse up to 1000 ppm CO2, but it probably takes 15 to 30 chickens to have the same effect? Thank you and best of luck in the future.

Hello Mr Dong, How does this new outside quilt handle the dew that would be on top of it in the morning? Wouldn't it soak it up when it is rolled up in the morning, before the dew has dried. The bottom layer is cloth. When it is rolled up over the top layer, it seems to me that it would soak up the dew (or if there was night rain - the rain drops) and gradually become heavy and maybe less insulating. I am building a single layer solar greenhouse and need advice on what type of quilt to buy. Could you please help me?
