Dude, they need to capture content in 4K for it to be uploaded in KZbin at that resolution. People use 1080 240/360Hz monitors for Esports and play at lower settings so it doesn't cause lag for them. Even if they captured then upscale, doing it for 1080 to 4K takes a lotta time and ...Ain't nobody got the time for that!

Yea i assume they arent recording locally during these games either, and are probably using twitch VODs as recordings. If so, that means the video is going through 3 or 4 layers of compression, so in the end it just looks low rez, despite being 1080p.
