There are a ton of things to do in SD. I was born in Mitchell where the Corn Palace is. They put new cobs of corn onto the front of the building every year to make a different picture. Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Reptile Gardens, etc.

I live one Mile from Lebanon Tennessee. I will have check up about the clock. I live in Mount Juliet. I am about 18 minutes to downtown Nashville about 12 minutes to the Grand old Opry which used to be Opryland there until Gaylord bought it. But I grew up in Nashville Tennessee. I used to work for Wright & McGill/Eagle Claw. Did you know that those little plastic boxes with hooks were all hand packed?(well in the '70's they were. Don't know how they are packed now or if the company even exists any longer) Yup! I would get a big box of loose hooks and count out the amount that would be for the plastic box and weigh how much that would weigh and then take you bare hand and put hooks on my scale to match that weight. Then put the hooks from the scale, by hand, and put them in that little plastic box. Did that job for about a year and never got stabbed once. No one on the job ever got stabbed either. Safe to grab them in a bunch than try to pick up a single one. Loved that job but they moved out of my area and I didn't want to drive that far considering I used to walk the 2 blocks to work. Even all of the fishing poles that used to come skinned wrapped in plastic was done by a single machine operator(person.) Great pay for back then. It was more than double per hour than average. Least the fish hook counters did .
