Will this reel work for casting? For my style of fishing i normally use a Penn 209 to cast a 2lb sinker into the water then I slide my lure leads down the line. will it work for that?

Yes, they are very similar in set up

@ryanr6656 you cast 2-pound sinkers? How far and wheat rod are you using? When I think of actual casting it's usually a minimum of 50-75 feet.
