2NE1 outfit is part of their concept they supposed to be baddass no cute or extremely sexy other groups outfits were cute/sexy or mostly sexy but not 2NE1 because their music was addressed to female audiences and to anyone can relate it while other girls groups was doing music just for male audiences ... 2NE1 were like a storm in kpop they have many first time ever in kpop like: first kpop girl group to have mostly fan girls, first kpop group to share fans with their brother group BIGBANG, first kpop girl group to not wear matches outfits, first kpop group to win a MAMA award in the same year of their debut, first kpop girl group to be the 3rd best sold girl group worldwide, first kpop girl group to collaborate with a western artist WILL.I.AM, first kpop group to have a tour worldwide(BIGBANG was the second and first male group to have a tour ww) etc etc etc.. Members: CL (I'm sure you've already seen her stuff), Minzy, Dara, Bom They are known as the queens of Kpop. In their time where girl groups were mostly poppy and cutesy, 2NE1 stood out with their unconventional swaggy and badass aesthetic. Revolutionary for Kpop but actually typical for being under YG ENT. They are BLACKPINK's seniors and predecessors. Just as BLACKPINK dominates girl groups in this generation, 2NE1 and BIBGANG were at the top. YG just has that addictive signature sound that no other artists can replicate. But we'll never forgive YG for unfairly disbanding 2NE1 :( Fun fact: BLACKPINK's Forever Young was originally supposed to be a 2NE1 song.

2ne1, Big Bang, super junior, tvxq and the nations girl group snsd aka girls generation is what started the hallyu wave for kpop internationally over here to the west. I remember when I first got into kpop back in 2009 in high school.

Their Live stages and Concert performances are even better than their Music Videos - No lie. I recommend you check them out. e.g. CL and 2NE1 @ MAMA 2105 (Awards Show). CL, the leader was of 2NE was listed as performing a solo stage but with the biggest flex MAMA`s ever she sneaked her group onto the stage after partially performing 2 of her solo songs. There's been many great groups since then but until this day their stage presence remains unrivaled, aside from bigbang of course. As you stated, they are one of the pioneers of kpop, including having the term monster rookies created because of their success & talent upon debut. They are responsible for making the girl crush concept popular. Unfortunately, yg made the biggest mistake & they disbanded way too soon.
