2NE1 is once in a lifetime. The dynamics of CL, Bom, Dara and Minzy is like magic. You'd know at first glance that they are something else. The music industry was shocked when 2NE1 disbanded. Who in their right mind will disband a group that's on top of their game? People were saddened and simply can't move on. Afterall 2NE1 is a league on its own. Sad to see the change of direction in YG as a company. I mean i heard now the company consider visuals as an important trait for their trainees. While i do understand them taking this decision to please the fans, i think it's sort of take away the uniqueness of YG that used to be known as a company that don't give a fuck about what's the norm in music industry. If u look back at the old YG, they basically stood out the most because they produced artists that don't follow korean standard, whether in music or appearance. Now they basically feel the same like any other company. 2ne1 is their best creation imo. They're unique in every aspect, breaking all the stereotypes for girl groups in korea. Music, fashion, mv and stage presence, they never follow what korean expect from a gg. Even to this day, no gg is brave enough to take the route 2ne1 has taken. I mean which present gg would go crazy with their fashion like 2ne1 did? No because it's all about visuals these days and they're afraid to ruin their beauty image. YG try to duplicate these girls, but trust me they will never get the same results. Used all your trainees to create the 2nd,3rd or 4th 2ne1, it will never work. 2ne1 is their last shining diamond that distinguished YG from other company yet they were crushed mercilessly.

My first 2ne1 song 😭 I remember I found it just a couple days after it was released. Up to that point I had only seen SM groups and it just floored me how different it was (even though I LOVED 2010 SM). They just screamed fun to me. I still miss 2ne1 a lot and it hurts that people only seem to bring them up to arbitrarily tear other groups down like that will somehow take us back to then.
