I just stopped a moment, on what's probably my thousandth time here, because I wanted to say that, in my humble opinion, Tupac was much more than a raPPer! He was a great artist, and that is a very tough job! His greatest artistic talent was as a Poet, and not all raPPers are poets. It is the burden of any great artist, to not only live through the pain of their lives, and those they love, but to also relive it every day through their art. They have to do that because that is their purpose in life, and an artist cannot deny that fact, even when they want to. It also means the same art that helps everyone else heal, holds them perpetually immersed in that pain. You can't make good art without feeling it every time that you sing that song, or see that painting that you've made, or touch that thing that you've created. It's always there, and it takes balls to do that knowingly. Artists have a greater level of empathy than most. Although many folks will say that Tupac was "hard", there were plenty of tears and pains and frustrations that went into music like this before anyone actually got to hear that "hard" part. Besides his music being straight doPe, me knowing all of this on top of that fact, is what makes Tupac to me, in my humble opinion, much more than one the best raPPer's of all time. He's one of the best artists of all time.

I was told by my fave writer that he thought me writing poetry was brave and he could never be that brave, I think what you’ve said is similar though his writing took just as much bravery in my view just like those that paint, sculpt, make music whether with or without lyrics, it processes what’s in you, often the things that have had a big affect on you, trauma etc but it also brings you back to it too and I also agree with your comment about empathy. I clearly remember the 70's 80's and 90's when phones were still attached to a wall, and I thought "Well ... I'll just be alone forever" and that just grew the more people I was around in most cases. I said this about 3 decades ago, give or take, but, "The BEST gift anyone can give an artist is ... encouragement!" Times like this, it continues to prove to me I got that one right. Nikita, I'd be a complete liar, though, and you'd be a fool to believe me if I told you it's not an incredibly, deep, dark, lonely deal at times, AND even more so at times around all the people that blow past all the beauty right in front of them every single day, and think you to be the insane one when you point it out. That's when you can find a symbiosis with that loneliness and feeling of not being seen to assuage the pain that goes with it. Your alternatives are to assimilate like it was so easy for so many around you to do, but that's not in the cards for us. Another alternative is to allow the kinds of people into your life who can't or won't see the beauty around them if you stapled it to their fuckin' face. That's the vast majority as you know. They'll never "add" to your life, even the ones who don't really have bad intentions, you're still going to feel like a wireless charger in a crowd of people down to 5% and getting desperate, There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with not allowing anyone into your life that doesn't "ADD" to it. People WILL se you Nikita, probably far and few between, most often NOT when you think you REALLY NEED someone to, but when they do, it will ONLY add to your life, and that's what deserve for your life, not scores of people who can't imagine the beautiful things you're going to will into existence out of that pile of junk, and still act surprised you could do it AFTER you described it to them perfectly. I get it, I do and I know this might not seem the most positive, but it's the least shitty option of all the shitty options available. If it clicks for you and you lean into it, that loneliness can become quite liberating. You'll never stop "caring", that's not in our cards either, but you'll be able to focus that into something that is going to add to your life, not all the other insane crap people are going to try suckering you into. Nikita, in our world today, there's only 3 true freedoms I see that we have. Your freedoms to Think, Feel, and Behave as YOU wish. If you allow anyone, myself included, to affect those 3 freedoms negatively, then essentially gave away your freedom. When I overhear someone say something like, "OMG, I can't believe X right now THEY MADE ME SO ANGRY" ... ... ... NO, no, no No! THAT actually IS fake news that we sell ourselves. THEYYYYY didn't do shit ... WE ALLOWED them to make us angry, we ALLOWED them to flip us out and act as crazy as they do You basically said, "OK, my shackles are on tight, here's the key" That IS Nutso cuckoo. II need to run, but I'll leave you with this Nikita ...
