2Pac & Elton John - Ghetto Gospel | 2023 Remaster & Vocal Fix

This is my touchup utilizing the 2004 Eminem edit of the acapella, I pitched the vocals to sound like 1992 era 2Pac, and fixed some troubled spots where words sounded odd or had a echo. I retained the speed and the key of the original beat and of Elton John's Vocals. To me this sounds more closer to how Pac would have sounded if he made the song this slow in 1992. Obviously i dont have the legit instrumental to this song, so this beat was created with a vocal extraction for underneath the verses. So some slight bass differences between this and the retail may be there. But like I said this is the best you will get it. It puzzles me that Em didn't deepen 2Pac's vocals just like I did to match the tone on the rest of the album.

@R-Tistic Remix just checked it out. Really interesting to hear it for the first time. The song would have been way too long if he had all that. Personally if those verses weren't recorded over and were usable. It would have been brilliant to make a Ghetto Gospel 1 with Elton John and a Part 2 with the other two verses. Maybe use the BC Before Cr*ack and the alternate ending of verse 2 as a custom hook or get another singer. That's how I would have probably done it since technically Pac scrapped verse 3 and 4 for Jesse The Kid Amaru really gave Eminem a horrible track selection. They could have done so much more with scrapped verse songs like Bury Me A G Solo and Death Around The Corner II. Or gave him more controversial tracks like Peep Game 2, Faded Shootouts, Holla If Ya Hear Me 92 and Thug Life. But I personally like the bonus remixes over Ems mixes. Em's mixes had potential if they made those beats around Pac's original speed. Ghetto Gospel would have never worked being as fast as the original though but the beat is amazing.

Yeah, unfortunately some little parts can't be changed because that's how they sound when you stretch vocals that slow when Pac rapped fast. But it came out better then I expected. Maybe when AI improves, I'll be able to cover some parts up better with AI sliced in. I did have a edit of Pac sounding like 96 Pac but it didn't sound as good. I can see why Eminem maybe purposely pitched Pac up. But he did it way too high. So I went with the Keep Ya Head Up and Wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto tone

They should just make a part 2 with it. Would have been brilliant to make two songs out of the 4 verses If they had that take. That's maximizing vocal potential. Same with Tears of A Clown. Use the 4th verse that Pac scrapped for a new song lol

I've had a several ideas for years. There's many alternate takes. They should issue some on anniversary albums and do a Lost Tapes Vol 2: Prequels & Alternate Cuts. This way Pac doesn't look heavily repetitive with same names and reused verses. Lost Tapes 2: 01 R U Still Down II 02 Life's So Hard II 03 Wonder Why They Call U (94 Take) 04 My Block (Alternate) 05 Bury Me A G (Solo, after you use the 2 extra verses for a new Song) 06 Nothing 2 Lose II 07 Pain (Original) 08 High Til I Die II 09 Still I Rise 94 (depending on if it uses same lyrics, if new lyrics just rename it for new album 10 Who Do You Believe In 94 11 Hold On Be Strong Interlude 12 Straight Ballin (Alt) 13 Sh*t Don't Stop II 14 Death Around The Corner II 15 Dear Mama (Alt) 16 N*ggaz In The Penn 17 Judgement Day 18 How Long Will They Mourn Me (Original Beat) 19 So Many Tears Feat. Stretch Some of these you could throw on thug life anniversary. Radio versions also included. They would still have Trapped II, Peep Game II, Bury Me A G Radio, Wasup With The Love rumored extra verse, another Wonder Why They Call U, Open Fire with the adlibs. But i would use those on other projects. And reuse Playa Young Thug, Real Bad Boys verses. Also release Amerikka Eats It's Young since it's vastly different. They could do Lost Tapes 3 from the Death Row Period too. Death Around The Corner II I probably would use for a new album since it's an attractive song title. Even Sh*t Don't Stop extra verses could be remixed into a new song. They aren't creative though
