Fun fact: a fan once ran into 2Pac at the mall and when he asked her what her favourite song of of his was, she said So Many Tears. He ended up telling her that it was the hardest song he has ever written (both in terms of how real the content was and the process of putting it into words).

Some people say 2pac was a lyricist. But what they don’t see is his lyrics are lyrics inside of lyrics. Who use his words to make you think about the previous verse throughout the whole song. Some rappers do it but not on a consistent basis. After a few verses they normally change up or switch subjects. PAC write songs as if he’s writing a book. Very descriptive. If he was walking on a normal road. He could convince you that road could lead you to paradise. Don’t think he’d ever had writers block. Because he put his heart in to every song. He had me screaming west side and I’m from the east coast lol. Most of other rappers are like watching science fiction movies. Their movies might be good but not real. Most of PAC is based on a true story or in fact a true story. Most Oscar’s won or up for nominations are mostly based on true stories. My point is PAC gave you us Oscars all the time accept his work won’t a performance. Don’t have to agree with me. It really up for debate. I don’t go back in forth on whose the greatest of all time. I did when I was younger but then I realized when something is so easy to see. It’s hard to make a blind man see. But if he get a chance to see the light it a change his whole look of the world. So people that don’t get PAC. It’s their lost and they missed out. I have no envy against them only pity for them

_“Seen drive-by's takin' lives, little kids die."_ Man, that line always gets me especially after learning about the incident Pac had in Marin in ‘92. I believe it was The Outlawz that gave an interview a while back detailing the incident. Long story short, Pac had taken them on a trip to Marin city (a small unincorporated community in Cali where Pac first landed when he came out west). He wanted to go back to celebrate his new album, thank people who looked out for him when he was homeless etc. Unfortunately some entourage came by and didn’t see it that way. They thought he only came back to flex. An altercation started, escalated, and soon enough Pac and the Outlawz were running for their lives and getting shot at. A stray bullet ended up hitting and killing 6 year old Qa’id Walker-Teal as he was riding on his bike. Ballistic tests proved that the stray bullet didn't come from any of Pac or the Outlawz' guns but he never got over it. He settled with the family for 500k-1M in todays currency. “I don't know how we made it out that day, but we did. It wasn't like we were just getting chased out Marin, they were out for _smoke_ that day. I remember we jumped in the Jeep and Mopreme was struggling to get it to turn on so Pac just turned around and covered us with his entire body. Bricks, rocks, all kinds of shit was getting thrown at his back and head but he was just set on making sure nothing happened to us. I mean we were just children back then you know? That night...Was the first time I had seen Pac cry since we were kids. The death of that little boy really shook him." - E.D.I

CHALKLINE...which represents the actual chalkline drawn around bodies by police to identify the position of the body in death. However, I think it also represents a line of drugs...hence the "getting high" reference. "Broken-hearted as I glance at the chalk line, getting high"...please note that it doesn't say "I'm getting high", so I believe the "getting high" is a double entendre...the body count is getting high and the other is the general reference to a line of drugs.

I remember literally crying the first time I heard this song. As someone who personally suffers with PTSD, this sounds eerily similar to my own thought processes back in the day. If only we could all go back in time and give Pac one big hug. He always gave so much of himself, yet no one was ever there to reciprocate half the amount. It's truly audacious how anyone could turn around and wonder why he became so angry and self-destructive. _"walk a mile in my shoes, and you'd be crazy too"_

The mad thing about breaking down Tupac songs is the guy's work ethic. We can wax lyrical on his poety and verse writing skills, but the guy wrote most of his tracks in record time, completing three tracks a day most days he went into the recording studio. Think I remember seeing that he recorded about 150 songs during the final year of his life. So, to think that he could construct songs this well, with such ease and deep meaning, is mindboggling. The guy was a genius workahloic.

I've been a 2pac Fan since 1991 I think I can answer what you are trying to say, the delivery the G.O.A.T dropped was from a different dimension he dragged the words to the chords and his voice when rapping talking whether he was happy sad angry whatever mood was from the pit of his stomach, you can hear the pain and he connected with his audience emotionally and with him being so relatable his poetry and lyrics were beyond genius, no other rappers fan following respects, admires, love their favourite the way we hold Pac's esteem, he is the G.O.A.T will always be the G.O.A.T

I love your energy and your insight! Thanks for reminding me of my love for music. “That Girl” by Stevie Wonder is the base source sample (the harmonica snippet, etc.). This song hits me in the feels. Hard. Almost to much to hear but too important to ignore. Keep doing what you’re doing, Mark. We need it. 🤍🙏🏼🎵👏🏼

He said as I glance at the chalk line getting high. He's talking about the when someone is dead, police draw around his body using a chalk as part of an investigation. He's talking about him seeing a murder seen, and he just smoke his weed coz he's just very stressed by what he's seeing.

Dude you cracked me the hell up by not figuring out the word chalk line. He said it clear as shit and you kept fukin it up which made it hilarious because you came up with drug line and I don't even know what the hell that is 🤣. As always, awesome reaction other than fukin up the last part as well lol. I'm laughing like hell as I'm typing this. Your nerves seemed a little on edge today. Much love man.

whoever saying the delivery is "simplistic..." maybe now in 2022, it may seem that way to some but that's after every "rapper" had 30 years to study Pac's style and flow and copy it

It’s because no matter how popular rap music is a lot of ppl don’t look at it as “real music”... they don’t appreciate it as an art form. No matter how much the young genre has influenced in music ppl refuse to recognize rap music is art at its truest form... it’s representative, it’s controversial, it’s informative and what it’s done with poetry and literature is unmatched by any other genre... a thousand years from now if they wanna know the history of the world they can listen to rap and every culture is represented in one way or another. No other genre can claim that. Rap music is art.

Yes. With Pac, you have to peel away the layers like an onion. He's so honest good or bad. I read his lyrics like a book of poetry bc it is.

It is the chauk line. You kill me lol, "one more I wanted one more verse, that's greedy." Awe bro we all want more verses from him. He has outdone the ones before and the ones to come. As he raised the bar and inspired nothing but great motivation within ones self to push, climb and reach for the stars on earth even if means you have relocate Mars.

Tupac’s black panther influence from his mom and the recently passed Mutulu, and his soulfulness when delivering lines, it’s always like listening to the old speeches by MLK or Malcolm X… like there’s centuries of black struggle behind every word… Tupac is just straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I enjoy your beak down bruh- very analytical. The points where you stop and rewind are perfect for us because you don’t let anything pass by undone. On top of it all - it’s entertaining to watch. You combine mind with humor. “You funny”. Great job. PS - And it’s a Japanese jawn you’re referring to. Chalk line - the dead person outline on the concrete / asphalt. “I think she’s fuckin all my boyz….. “

This my second time viewing this So many tears reaction, why because you do understand him and appreciate his masterpieces that generations are sleeping on. On the last verse he says, "I don't trust my lady, she's a product of these poison( probably the environment he's grown in) I'm hearing sounds, think she's fucking all my boys"
