Verse 1 They say, the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice, I tell ‘em, the redder the wine, the deeper the roots. This bottle in my hand ain’t for show, it’s my truth, I’m tryna numb the pain, but I’m lost in the loop. It started as a way just to pass some time, Now it’s got me chained, can’t free my mind. Mama said, “Baby, don’t let it consume you,” But these nights get cold, and the drink gets me through. Every sip’s like a tear I refuse to cry, Every pour’s a piece of my soul that dies. I know it ain’t right, but it feels so strong, In the arms of the liquor, that’s where I belong. Hook But keep ya head up, they say it’s gon’ get better, I’m tryna stay afloat, but I’m caught in the weather. Deeper the roots, but I’m stuck in the ground, Tryna rise up, but I keep fallin’ down. Verse 2 Now my baby girl calls, “Daddy, where you been?” I’m ashamed of myself, can’t face her again. Told her I’d quit, but the devil’s in my veins, He whispers sweet lies, takes the edge off the pain. Homies used to roll, now they leave me alone, They tired of my stories, tired of my tone. Mirror shows a stranger, reflection’s unclear, I’m a man in a bottle, drowning in fear. I see the hurt in her eyes when she looks my way, Like, “Daddy, don’t let the drink take you away.” But the red in the wine got a grip so tight, I’m stuck in this fight, losing night after night. Hook But keep ya head up, they say it’s gon’ get better, I’m tryna stay afloat, but I’m caught in the weather. Deeper the roots, but I’m stuck in the ground, Tryna rise up, but I keep fallin’ down. Bridge Somebody tell me how I heal this pain, How I break these chains, get back again. I hear the angels, but the devil talks louder, I’m lost in a storm, tryna find my power. Verse 3 If I could take it back, I’d make it right, Put the bottle down, fight the good fight. Give my daughter a father who’s strong and proud, Not a man who hides his face in the crowd. But I’m here now, tryna make this plea, Prayin’ for a day when I set myself free. The redder the wine, the darker my nights, But maybe there’s hope if I step in the light. Hook But keep ya head up, they say it’s gon’ get better, I’m tryna stay afloat, but I’m caught in the weather. Deeper the roots, but I’m stuck in the ground, Tryna rise up, but I keep fallin’ down. Outro They say, the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice, I tell ’em, the redder the wine, the deeper the roots. I’m searchin’ for peace, I’m searchin’ for truth, Tryna find my way back to the love I knew.

Matthew 16:28✔️ Psalms 3:8✔️ Joshua 10:8✔️ Even though tragedy struck their lives their lives are Victor❤ Is what Joey Jones retired Marine Bomb Tech said about the men that he fought with..God Bless him he's still here and doing well❤ The best thing about being Oppressed and Surving is that you will be thought of when your oppressors are bought down in sorrow and in strength because of how you stayed strong and kept going no matter what they threw at you, took from you or did to you..And they will tell themselves through their own trials and tribulations that if they can get through it so can I and hopefully they will change...Wounded Warriors are an inspiration to us all some of can't even run around the block without getting winded while they are doing things that we do in a day before the sunrise..I hope everyone had a Blessed Safe 4th of July and that they said a prayer this morning to start off this brand new day❤ Goodmorning🌷

She’ll mask the truth, step back, hack at the youth, she’s only part of her potential, in every incremental move, she starts to shine, but gets tarnished, harbored by garbage groups, while I notice her smile, slightly vile, wild and loose, I wish she was more conscious, that’ll decrease the monotonous loop, every ring doesn’t carry you, there’s rings that marry you, but there’s rings around the ear, you start living in fear, while the opposition mirrors you, that’s another ring, the infinite cycle of psycho views, that inhibits an era you should’ve had, now you’re looking mad at the things I do, keep your head up, no woman wants my juice, that’s a watery grave, not a modeling phase, allotting me loot, I don’t roll models, I’m not a role model, I’m a lot of instrumental roots, tugging at the bass, seeing the treble become a settling place I lose, just written, for you to keep reading, find a better man to believe in, since apparently I’m not the lover you’d choose, indiscriminate, I don’t pick and prod, I only produce, there isn’t a particular color, I love her, if she’s the right lover for me to groove, in the curve of a spoon, we can watch glitter in the moon, half a circle, crescent with a caressing verbal, undressing sight, addressing size like every touch is eternal bloom, I can feel the presence, you’re more than a present, girl you’re a precious hoop, don’t let just any one dunk in, you deserve someone new, a man that doesn’t anchor you, but instead helps lantern your cruise, you need a man of action, less sub traction, increase your value, you got problems to reduce…

What’s the canon fodder, when is keeping it real become the mantra for abandoned fathers? A fathom offered in a random saga, counting the deals, seeing a phantom opera, singing for appeal, but not to feel any candid author, the rites of passage, speaking to a mass of water, cool to the touch, drowning me out like a house of glass and copper, too many pipes, high, falling into the sky they’re landing off of, smoke in their eyes, fire in disguise while I keep passing awkward, tripping over nuisance, and the new sense is never good news since I’m not seeing any compassion fostered, slipping into the night, trying to make things right, racing in circles counting the rings that keep expanding larger, it’s funny when the circle of friends keep me lost and boxed up, while I keep trying to break free from society that wishes to keep me down or keep me locked up.

[Intro: 2Pac] Little something for my godson Elijah And a little girl named Corin [Verse 1: 2Pac & Dave Hollister] Some say the blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice I say the darker the flesh, then the deeper the roots (Oh) I give a holla to my sisters on welfare 2Pac cares if don't nobody else care (Oh) And, uh, I know they like to beat you down a lot When you come around the block, brothers clown a lot But please don't cry, dry your eyes, never let up Forgive, but don't forget, girl, keep ya head up And when he tells you you ain't nothin', don't believe him And if he can't learn to love you, you should leave him 'Cause, sister, you don't need him And I ain't tryin' to gas you up, I just call 'em how I see 'em (You don't need him) You know what makes me unhappy? (What's that?) When brothers make babies And leave a young mother to be a pappy (Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah) And since we all came from a woman Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman (Yeah, yeah) I wonder why we take from our women Why we rape our women, do we hate our women? (Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?) I think it's time to kill for our women Time to heal our women, be real to our women And if we don't, we'll have a race of babies That will hate the ladies that make the babies (Oh, yeah-yeah) And since a man can't make one He has no right to tell a woman when and where to create one So will the real men get up? I know you're fed up, ladies, but keep ya head up [Chorus: Dave Hollister] (Keep ya head up) Ooh, child, things are gonna get easier (Keep-keep ya head up) Ooh, child, things'll get brighter (Oh-oh, keep ya head up) Ooh, child, things are gonna get easier (Keep-keep ya head up) Ooh, child, things'll get brighter [Verse 2: 2Pac & Dave Hollister] Ayo, I remember Marvin Gaye used to sing to me He had me feelin' like black was the thing to be And suddenly the ghetto didn't seem so tough And though we had it rough, we always had enough I huffed and puffed about my curfew and broke the rules Ran with the local crew and had a smoke or two I realize Mama really paid the price She nearly gave her life to raise me right (Oh, yeah-yeah) And all I had to give her was my pipe dream Of how I'd rock the mic and make it to the bright screen I'm tryin' to make a dollar out of fifteen cents It's hard to be legit and still pay your rent And in the end, it seems I'm headin' for the pen' I try to find my friends, but they're blowin' in the wind Last night, my buddy lost his whole family It's gonna take the man in me to conquer this insanity (Oh, no, no, no) It seems the rain'll never let up I try to keep my head up and still keep from gettin' wet up, huh You know, it's funny, when it rains it pours They got money for wars, but can't feed the poor Said it ain't no hope for the youth And the truth is it ain't no hope for the future And then they wonder why we crazy, huh I blame my mother for turnin' my brother into a crack baby We ain't meant to survive 'cause it's a set-up And even though you're fed up, huh, you got to keep ya head up [Chorus: Dave Hollister] (Keep ya head up) Ooh, child, things are gonna get easier (Keep-keep ya head up) Ooh, child, things'll get brighter (Oh-oh, keep ya head up) Ooh, child, things are gonna get easier (Keep-keep ya head up) Ooh, child, things'll get brighter [Verse 3: 2Pac & Dave Hollister] And, uh, to all the ladies havin' babies on they own I know it's kinda rough and you're feelin' all alone Daddy's long gone and he left you by your lonesome Thank the Lord for my kids even if nobody else want 'em 'Cause I think we can make it, in fact, I'm sure And if you fall, stand tall and come back for more (Oh-oh) 'Cause ain't nothin' worse than when your son Wants to know why his daddy don't love him no mo' You can't complain, you was dealt this hell of a hand Without a man, feelin' helpless (I know you were) Because there's too many things for you to deal with Dyin' inside, but outside you're lookin' fearless While the tears is rollin' down your cheeks You're steady hopin' things don't all fall this week (Yeah) 'Cause if it did, you couldn't take it (Yeah) And don't blame me, I was given this world, I didn't make it (Oh, yeah) And now my son's gettin' older and older And cold from havin' the world on his shoulders While the rich kids is drivin' Benz I'm still tryin' to hold on to survivin' friends (Oh, yeah) And it's crazy, it seems it'll never let up But, huh, please, you got to keep your head up

Time to heal our women, be real to our women And if we don't we'll have a race of babies That will hate the ladies, that make the babies (oh, yeah, baby) And since a man can't make one He has no right to tell a woman when and where to create one So will the real men get up I know you're fed up ladies, but keep your head up Keep ya head up, ooh, child, things are gonna get easier Keep-keep ya head up, ooh, child, things'll get brighter (ohh) Keep ya head up, ooh, child, things are gonna get easier Keep-keep ya head up, ooh, child, things'll get brighter Ayo, I remember Marvin Gaye, used to sing to me He had me feelin' like black was the thing to be And suddenly the ghetto didn't seem so tough And though we had it rough, we always had enough I huffed and puffed about my curfew and broke the rules Ran with the local crew, and had a smoke or two And I realize momma really paid the price She nearly gave her life, to raise me right (oh, yeah) And all I had to give her was my pipe dream (yeah, yeah, yeah) Of how I'd rock the mic, and make it to the bright screen I'm tryin' to make a dollar out of fifteen cents It's hard to be legit and still pay your rent And in the end it seems I'm headin' for the pen I try and find my friends, but they're blowin' in the wind Last night my buddy lost his whole family It's gonna take the man in me to conquer this insanity (no, no, no, no) It seems the rain'll never let up I try to keep my head up, and still keep from gettin' wet up You know, it's funny when it rains it pours They got money for wars, but can't feed the poor Said it ain't no hope for the youth and the truth is It ain't no hope for the future And then they wonder why we crazy I blame my mother for turning my brother into a crack baby We ain't meant to survive, 'cause it's a setup And even though you're fed up Huh, ya got to keep your head up Keep ya head up, ooh, child, things are gonna get easier Keep-keep ya head up, ooh, child, things'll get brighter (ohh) Keep ya head up, ooh, child, things are gonna get easier Keep-keep ya head up, ooh, child, things'll get brighter And uh To all the ladies havin' babies on they own I know it's kinda rough and you're feelin' all alone Daddy's long gone and he left you by ya lonesome Thank the Lord for my kids, even if nobody else want 'em (left you all by yourself) 'Cause I think we can make it, in fact, I'm sure And if you fall, stand tall and comeback for more 'Cause ain't nothin' worse than when your son Wants to know why his daddy don't love him no mo' You can't complain you was dealt this Hell of a hand without a man, feelin' helpless Because there's too many things for you to deal with Dying inside, but outside you're looking fearless While the tears is rollin' down your cheeks Ya steady hopin' things don't all down this week 'Cause if it did, you couldn't take it, and don't blame me I was given this world I didn't make it And now my son's gettin' older and older and cold From havin' the world on his shoulders While the rich kids is drivin' Benz I'm still tryin' to hold on to my survivin' friends And it's crazy, it seems it'll never let up, but Please, you got to keep your head up

They say the darker the envy, the deeper the enemy. I give my condolences to those who need sympathy. Equality is long-given but equity is short given, so all my niggas on the streets stressing and shedding tears, all day 24/7. It's hard to live when the pain keeps aching your brain. Mommy and Daddy don't understand what you going thru, you see urself declining mentally, you don't know what to do. It's so sad we turn to drugs to keep our minds in fantasies but in reality, we're only becoming deceased. I know wen your head's in them studies, you don't feel no purpose. You looking for a way out, to get off the fucking surface and feel free within your dreams of being happy. No rules in your imagination, only satisfaction. But keep ya head up when the time seems rough,it's only a matter of time before you find your luck:) Stay wise within your tribulations, find joy. You still breathing, so be greatful for where you stand. Grow strong pass your insanity, so when you're old, you'll finally realize you conquered all your miseries.

Will you be ready when Jesus Christ returns? If not confess your sins and ask Jesus to come to you. Praise the Most High for his son acting as a sacrificial lamb, so that your sins can be forgiven (KJV Romans 5:6-11). Confess your sins to the Most High (KJV1 John 1:9) and Repent (KJV Acts 3:19) now while you have time before it's too late, Many people in this world will not see tomorrow(KJV Proverbs 27:1). To repent means you will not do any of the sins you've done in the past. You will be a renewed person. What is sin? Sin is a transgression of the laws of the Most High (KJV 1 John 3:4). Learning the Ten Commandments is a good start (KJV Exodus 20:1-17).
