@@yazz155 i think it was gettting betrayed by people he had put on and getting shot five times that brought the worst in him. To gloss over that fact and blame Death Row is strange to me. In PAC’s shows many would have done worse. Like Nas said in his song addressing Pac, ‘You asked if I could trade in your place, how would I hold up? How long would I ride, before I fold up?’. People like to dehumanize him and act like his anger and distrust was just him being crazy.

"Keep Ya Head Up", and "Dear Mama" are my favorite from 2Pac. Tears tears tears. And as my Mother gets older, I'm 46 now, my Mom is 72, "Dear Mama" makes me cry now. My Mom loves me so much and would do and did everything to be there for me, and my 3 siblings. The older you get, the more you appreciate your Mom. And me, as a single Mom to a 21 year old daughter, yeah, both "Dear Mama, and "Keep Ya Head Up " hits different and harder, than when I was younger and these songs came out.

Tupac talking about how women are the reason we are born, how men treat women terribly when they get women knocked up, not being a dad being disrespectful and so on. Everything he said was deep and hit hard which is why he is still a top tier rapper singer and just person in general he wasn't perfect but he knew what could be better and wanted to start putting into people's head to be different and break the cycle, do right by each other . I was born in 99 in Queens, NY but grew up on a lot of DMX, Nas, Tupac and yeah they always talked about deep stuff that many might not. Growing up in the hood or the projects, abuse, neglect, drugs alcoholism which is something a lot of us can relate to. Wanting to do and be better, and it's not easy but this a good place to start. People don't realize kids feel stress and the emotions of adults, have thoughts and might even remember the good and bad from a young age. There are things we shouldn't have to witness or hear at a young age, that can mess us up or give us trauma.
