I've listened to this song so many times and I can tell you that this song is about him selling his soul to the music industry. If you listen carefully you can hear his remorse and regret for doing that. He's telling us and god why he did it... just look at his life and how he was cursed since birth. He just wanted to get out of the ghetto and live a normal life but had to sell his soul in order to do it. These lyrics are very deep if you actually listen to what he says. He's begging god for forgiveness and explaining why he sold his soul basically. So sad... love this guy

She's wrong in the intro. This is not what 2pac WANTED his life to be. This is what the song is all about in the first place. There are three reasons for that. 1. He's first five years in life was probably far from perfect. 2.He had no real responsible role model in a crucial part of he's teens(left me... alone among the dying breed). 3. Tupacs soul was cursed. Like the positive force or the Jing, if u like was very strong in him but the Jang just as strong. This usually creates problems, especially with the law.
