Maybe in time you'll know that only God can save us - True words from Tupac, very true...
@l33g3ndar333 жыл бұрын
This song is a great example of what separates the greatest artists from the rest. They put their whole self into their work - the good, the bad, their dreams, hopes and fears, happiness, sadness and anger. They reflect and ask the same questions that we all do. It's not just about getting rich, famous and whatever else, it's about sharing their story with the world. They show their true self and their character. They don't concern with appearing vulnerable bc they're real and kno where they came from, where they stand now and where they hope to go in the future. That's what shows true strength and growth as, not only an artist, but a person as well.
@arturocasarez5372 жыл бұрын
I couldn't have said it any better like I always say this world will never grow and won't ever come together until we learn to love one another, Respect one another, and help one another like lil Wayne said the sky's the limit because there's no limit falling to the ground as the whole gets deeper till we are lost in darkness and depression

I started listening to Pac when i was around 12/13 years old, and whenever I listen to him now at 20, I always think about how his music has affected my life. Doesn’t matter if I’m feeling down or if I’m stressing, his music never fails to make me feel better. Growing up through the years, listening to the same songs as they become more relatable, is a special feeling. Now going to college, I’m struggling real hard. But I can’t just drop out, I gotta make my parents proud. Gotta set an example to my lil bro, life is hard. Nights where I feel worthless and insignificant, it’s a grind. Why would you censor "I once contemplated suicide/but when I held that 9 all I could see was my mama's eyes"? The whole line speaks out against gun violence and suicide. It's like the idiots at Vevo think that literally listening to the words all by themselves will cause people to kill themselves with a gun. Context matters. Not only that, but they don't censor the lyrical trash that "singers" like Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea put out no matter how profane or plain stupid it is. "Little Latasha sure grown, tell the lady at the liquor store she's forgiven, so come home." "Just picture all the people that you knew in the past, they passed on they in heaven and found peace at last" The last verse is so spiritual, he's talking from heaven telling us about how a young girl who died grew up, and about forgiveness someone in heaven has for the lady in the liquor store who is probably a depressed alcoholic. Wow, Tupac can say so much with so little. What an incredible verse and an uplifting song.

My Grandmother is definitely residing in the Thugz Mansion. Even though she probably didn't know what a crip was, I've never seen a lady that could get people to do shit for her with just her words, and someone who had so many people willing to do anything for her. She was a real G. Rip

@@MESSIAH365 Well Tupac's LYRICS were recorded in the 90s, but this "song" is a product of the 2000s. I can create a beat today and mix it with Tupac's voice, but that don't make it a 90s song, does it?

A month ago I had a seizure out of the blue, was rushed to the hospital immediately- within an hour of arriving I was being put into a stretcher and carried into surgery to have a pool of blood removed from inside my skull. The surgeon told me to picture a happy place right before I was rendered unconscious, and the last thing I remember from that night was reciting this song in my head not knowing if I would wake up. Much love to Pac.
