I saw Blonde Redhead at Lollapalooza '07 for the first time and was totally blown away by their live show. This song really sticks out in my mind from that set.

Someone's high school talent show band -- are you serious? I listen to this and am amazed. It's a beautiful, beautifully-structured song with these kind of perfectly imperfect vocals. The drumming alone is a display of innovation. I'm real surprised that this -- one of their best songs -- makes you think of a talent show. Well, to each his own.

After waiting for 2 hours for the rain to stop, they cancelled the concert. BUT the next day I saw Dirty Projectors and then on Saturday Battles (two of the best bands in the city), and both concerts were also for free, so that kind of made me feel better again after what happened that day. You've got to love New York!!

I have heard many stories of Kazu preforming in the worst of conditions and she still pulls through. She is very respectable in those areas.

Man, with this band, I vacillate between thinking they are horrible and brilliant. Its a fine line for me. Some songs I really get into, some, like this, I think, this sounds like someones high school talent show band. I keep waiting for some dude to scream out Slayer! But other times, I feel as though they are pretty amazing. I like the ambiguity, being unsure. Great Art if not great music maybe. I dunno, but I am glad they are out there.

@Shipgate Especially since Kazu is closer to 45 rather than to 18. But it doesn't matter. What does is they're disppointing on stage, not only because, as everyone can see, Kazu is still unable to play something while she's singing, but also because of the gazillions backing tracks given they're only 3. A lot of their songs are still quite good like this one though. BR remains a good studio band to me.

I dig their music. They have a really artistic touch to it and they must be one of the best independent bands out there. However, I'm not a huge fan of Kazu's vocals. Her unnaturally high-pitched voice makes me uncomfortable.
