Great to see you enjoy Volbeat. Johan Olsen, who guest sings here, is a biologist and researcher by trade at the University of Copenhagen. He's also the frontman of a danish band called "Magtens Korridorer".

This is such a joyful tune, like an Irish jig in full swing in the local pub after the Guinness had been flowing for a wee while. Lovely happy feel, party song the cheer up the most unhappy person. I almost reached for my leprechaun boot and joined it. Only to find the pixies had pinched my boots. They really are little pickles. Oh and, did you know that faeries where boots? Black Sabbath reckon they do.... Yeah, my dearest Grannies, I love love loved this.

I agree! Even when the vocals are heavy, it sounds great! That's what they do in Shotgun blues, their latest song. Volbeat reminds me a bit to Elvis but sounds different from other artist

James hetfield Calls Michael Poulsen little Elvis
@goodini0263 жыл бұрын
"Shotgun Blues" is basically a return to their old sound. Particularly their first 3-4 albums. Michael Poulsen the lead singer said in an interview their newest album is probably the heaviest they've done since their first 3-4 albums in terms of lyrics and musical sound, and im all for it. Nothing wrong with their new stuff but a lot of missed their old stuff so im pumped for the new album. Keep in mind Poulsen used to be the lead singer of a Danish death metal band called Dominus, and he's expressed interest in returning to doing that style of music "one day when the time is right" via a side project

Happy Thanksgiving Janet. Because of Covid we’re still not all getting together and it’s 💔 There’s about 30 of us and we also unfortunately have some non-vacers so we just can’t chance it. I’ll be with my son Granny Jeff, his wife & of course Granny Em. Granny Haze will be with her 2 kids and their families. Everyone is vaccinated. So, all we can do is pray that this time next year will be better for us all and we can all be together again. Keep on rocking babies. ✌🏻🖤🎶🤘🏻

Thanks babies. We have done For Evigt with Johan Olson already. It’s my favorite by Volbeat. It was on our channel for about 4 months and then from out of nowhere we get a copyright claim on it and we had to send it to Patreon. Our editor protested their claim and it actually went back to our channel for about a month and boom another unforeseen copyright claim out of the blue and they took it off KZbin. So again, it went back to our Patreon page and that’s where it’s going stay. You just never know why some reactors get copyright flags and others can just upload the same song with know problem. Keep on rocking babies. ✌🏻🖤🎶🤘🏻

I agree. This is one my favorite songs by them and you don’t really get the full effect of the melody when you hear it live if you’re hearing it for the first time, since everybody there knows the song already. I would recommend listening to the studio version as well.

Despite the upbeat sound the song itself and the lyrics are rather sad. More or less about losing a loved one and coming to terms with them going on to a better place
