Can anyone please help me, been racking my brain on this for a long time, what type of time stretching technique is done to get that sound at 2:47? is it akai time stretch combined with a very short delay or all done in the akai? thanks in advance!

yep yep the latter. basically you stretch a sample by 200% using akai timestretch, then pitch it back up an octave, so it plays back at its original speed but it's all stretchy and squeaky and stuff.
