I don’t really feel like I have extra money in my budget, but every Sunday I play this and just do a little bit, usually less than $10. I take the cash from my deposit envelope from the past week (cash I set aside if I payed for something online) and restuff it into a savings goal/challenge. So far I never miss the money and I meet my goals faster. Hope this encourages someone!!

Hello mam i am from Mumbai India. I am so happy that i watch your videos on budgeting and savings Challenge. It is so much helpful for me to track my budget and to save for future with the help of your different and fun savings Challenge that you use for yourself. Till now i have save 12000 rupees from my pocket money which my parents give in 3to4 months which is roughly 145 dollars and its a big amount for me as a college student to save that much rupees in 3to4 months. Now I am following the first step which 1000 dollars emergency Fund which is quite a difficult for me as of now but I am confident to achieve it once again thank you so much for motivating me for saving. That is a very nice amount of savings and that’s so great! As a mom to young people about your age, I am very proud of you for learning to save early. You will set yourself up for a stress free life. When I first learned of this life of budget binders and such I was one that didn't see the need for saving challenges. I had the idea same as you originally to just put the money in the bank and of course kept removing from savings. Now all the saving challenges helps me capture all that money I mindlessly spent after bills were paid and drive them into my goals = sinking funds. Edited to add: I get bored doing the same thing over and over and you show ways to keep it entertaining. Mind blown when you put goals on your smaller challenges to put into the larger ones that will eventually go to something bigger. And just permission to stop a challenge or change your mind or change a goal. I wouldn't have thought like that. Thank you.

Edited to say: $6 in HH, I didn't start saving challenges until this August but I have watched a kazillion videos on saving/tracking. It makes a difference and those savings add up. My "no spend" saved me $105 in Aug because we save $5/day for each day we don't spend. I can't wait to see what Sept saves us as we're using it for Christmas money :) I love anything with cards or dice, I must be a gambler at heart? I saved $2300 last month in challenges (our first month!!).

Happy Sept. 1st. Happy vow renewal anniversary! Hello Honey today saved me $30- for a total so far $212. This was my first ever challenge start to saving money last year. I get paid by-weekly so I make sure I save for the two weeks, If there is any left I put towards my month ahead. Thank you for the continued support and the facts to saving. Have a wonderful week. I used to have the auto transfer for my savings, for the annual bills and trying to get a month ahead. Then whenever we wanted to buy something big (like 1/2 a beef or a new dishwasher), we'd look at the savings account and forget that the money was for something else (car Insurance). Now that I know about a high yield savings account, I take the cash from bank A, put it into saving challenges, deposit it into bank b, then move that to the HYS bank. In the HYS, I am able to have "sub" accounts, now I can NOT forget what I'm saving for. I love playing Hello Honey with you all. I wasn't paying attention today (I'm saving for your words of affirmation + the bonus). I'm adding $38. Have a great week.

I saved $12 in Hello Honey today! The most since starting playing it after following you in February! And that's because I actually took the amount in the bonus round out of the money I set aside for other savings challenges! Thank you for all your hard work and advice! I love having the money in case something unexpected came up! Not only that BUT I also find myself spending less cause I question everything I want (or think I need) to buy even if I budgeting for it. Ex. Went to Comic Con this weekend with the amount I saved for it and only spent a small amount of it! So I'm putting it into an envelope for another experience in a few months! Great video, Jenn! The first video on cash stuffing I came across on KZbin was just a budgeting video that explained the system. The second video I clicked on was one of yours and after seeing a challenge knew I wanted to use this system. To me challenges are just plain fun! It’s like playing a game or buying something without actually buying something and in the end you have money for yourself and your needs. Then there’s the community aspect of challenges like Hello Honey and Saving in the NeighBEEhood. It’s all helped me out so much I’m trying to get my kids to try the envelope system as well. It really works for me!

Good morning, I saved 9 dollars for HH so I rounded up to 20 dollars. So I have been following you since march or April, I didn’t start playing any games until July, I’m now playing hello honey, no spend and some scratch offs. My no spend is going to buy me a quality chopping knives. Yes I could just put it in my savings but I would bet the money wouldn’t be there when I want it, the point is, now I have a job for the money that goes into that envelope and it’s fun playing the game and watching my savings grow.

Hello,😊 I'm new to your channel. I am trying to get debt free AGAIN. Health problems long story. Not sure which video i watched but the mindset changes is so spot on with me. I am so disappointed in myself now that i watched a few videos and looked just over the weekend how much money was spent not even thinking about it. Swiped my debit card and off ya go. Now today I'm making a list of envelopes i NEED to make for things that HAVE TO BE PAID now or later. Hello, I saved 15 for HH. I agree with you 1000% on doing the auto-pay/transfer and the 'set it-forget it' mentality. Every time I 'set it and forget it'... i did just that. i forgot i set the auto-pay up and would empty my bank account thinking i had that money to spend, and always get slapped with a late fee, overdraft fee and ran into a financial crisis. i refuse to set up anything auto. and i stopped leaving my money in an account i can easily access. because i was guilty of that: transferring it back to my checking from the savings because i wanted to buy something... and the cycle of abuse continued... pulling the money out and moving it to where its not easily accessible has helped me 1000% and we don't have as many crisis' as before.

I am free spirit enough to make adjustments. I've told myself what an emergency is. House and car breakdowns. That is it, they will make me adjust my plan. That is peace of mind. Well, I think the new challenge for me is to, increase my house and auto emergency fund. I'm going to start by using Jen's 100 envelope challenge. I'm going to put $2 a day in each of the hundred envelopes. It's not much, more than what I have currently. Remember, I'm low budget.

You have to get a budget worked out first. So each pay period, I write down my income and then my bills are paid first, retirement, binder categories and then savings. I have 4 cash binders that have categories. I show those on my weekly cash stuffing videos.
