I had the TZR 250 (same engine as this), spent a lot of money rebuilding it with new pistons, full engine overhaul etc in 1999. Two months later it seized again. That was it for me with two strokes, I bodged it to get it running and I got rid of it for a brand new YZF-R6. I've never looked back since and had total reliability with my four stroke motorcycles.

They can be reliable if you leave the airbox on. Guy used to use an RD350LC YPVS as a courier bike in London. Kept it stock, got 120,000 miles, still running. All he changed was the fuel pump as a precaution at 100,000 miles.
Very nice job but one possible update is to use new head bolts. After time and usage they stretch and can lead to loose seal between cylinder head and head gasket. Because you used new pistons, new head bolts would be a good idea to make sure the bike is totally overhauled. Other than that, Great work.

The bolts are threaded on both ends… so how would stretch affect them?
Changing the pistone rod will make it more great man..coz the bearing pin that u replace seem to look a little loose to me..anyway U got a legend bike man ..peace from malaysia
