Imagine if you will the Yamato getting into all sorts of fighter troubles, her Black/Cosmo tigers getting hammered as they defend their ship. Suddenly a whole new slew of contacts appear, panicking the bridge crew; only to see that the contacts descend upon the unsuspecting Gamalions (typo?). The lead fighters flashing past bearing EDF colors but distinctly different shapes and mixing it up royal. Then a new warp contact right behind the firefight as the 'Gray Ghost' comes out of her warp, launching a whole new wave of fighters. Another voice joins the comms net "Sorry we're late Yamato, but let's show these guys what fighting really means!'

@@alexbailey2457 The only reference I could find for "Gray Ghost" from WWII is the Queen Mary troopship. Which doesn't seem to fit. A space-faring version of Lexington WOULD. But she was known as the "Blue Ghost" apparently. Or are you referring to something else entirely? In any case - striking mental imagery there to go with the music! :D

音源元がBGM集でこの後の部分はリピートなので、BGMがリピートに入ったと分かるようにして当時のcd（レコード）は切ったと思われます。当時はさらばヤマトの前（アニメブーム前）に作られたものなのでホントの意味でBGM集としての処理しかされてないのでしょう。BGM集が売れまくる時代が来るなんて思ってないでしょうし。

@@赤岡徹 余談といいますか、最初の曲「元祖ヤマトのテーマ」は、今回のバージョンの他にも2曲あります。今回のをタイプA(エンディング違い)といい、タイプB(1番終了後Aのように尾切れにならないタイプ) タイプC(1番終了後、2番を2コーラス目から演奏し終了するもの)の3つバージョンか確認できます。それぞれの場面に応じて使い分けされてます。
