That thing about other Champions of Order armies being both awed and terrified by the skill, devotion to fight against the Forces of Chaos, and absolute ruthlessness in battle that the Sisterhood of Blood display is true as there many instances in the lore that show this for example one instance in the lore details how the Sylvaneth needed backup to help defend the Ironglade from Chaos forces belonging to Nurgal the Daughters of Khaine heeded the call and sent in several War Covens from various sects to aid and the Sylvaneth described the Sisterhood of Blood as being awe inspiring due to their skill and mastery when it comes to battle, and their devotion to the fight against the forces of Chaos, and absolutely terrifying due to their vicious, brutal, psychotic, sadistic nature when in battle.

Do the Lizardmen (I forget their rebranding name) tolerate these people? I know their hate of chaos is deep, and most of the Slann are Remember the events of at least the end times, in which Morathi kind of did her thing. I assume the Lizardmen don't land their craft in a realm unless they are fighting(maybe, lizardlore lol) How do you think these two factions get along?

The Slaan belive they failed the Old World and became more active. They try to listen to the Stars and signs about how to make their moves. Their only goal is eliminate Chaos. If they need to slaughter a city full of good people because in the future an evil warlord of chaos will be born there, they will. If they ned to fight against or alongside the Witch Elves, they will.

I originally started building my army years and years back, so I had an interesting list of Dark Elves. When AOS came out, my army became splintered, and some parts only recently have gotten a proper book (looking at you Cities of Sigmar). My army has always been painted in fire colours (seemed like a fun idea at the time... and it looks great on Morathi and the Black Dragon), and a few years back, I picked up a box of Fireslayers because of the Magmadroth. I've never had much interest in lore (mostly because I feel there's so little out there for the armies I actually enjoy), but it's kind of interesting how my mismatch of armies (mostly played as a Grand Order army) of DoK, Order Serpentis, Fireslayers and some other smaller factions, are technically lore supported. It started out being an old DE list plus some weird fire dwarves but it seems to actually be lore supportable. Thanks for these great videos!

Great video! really enjoying the series on DoK. One question - in the Malign Portents short story "Lost Souls", it seems to suggest that Morathi used the ritual sacrifice of others as part of the process of forging bodies for the Aelven souls rescued from Slaanesh. In the battletome, however, it just says that Morathi's own blood was used. In the story, when the Lifetakers are killed, their soul or part of it descends to Shyish. It seems to me that the souls of the sacrifices are bound to the bodies that Morathi has created, which deprives Nagash of their souls, causing further animosity between the two. These two versions have very different implications and I was wondering what your view of this is. I may simply be reading too much into it, of course.

A fair point. Im not sure if the story design team did both lores (meaning, two different teams came up with 2 different narratives that bump heads every once and a while). As far as the creation process goes.... I dont have a good answer. We know blood is used a lot in her rituals, maybe the creation process she uses everyone's blood and just adds a drop of her own, that way both statements are true. As for the souls, Im not sure i understand. My understanding is that Morathi ripped the souls away from Slaanesh, the fact that those dead sols didnt go to Shyish at that point makes Morathi a soul thief. When a Khinerai dies and their soul finally ends up in Shyish, nagash sees it as good. This doesnt change the fact that the soul was wrongfully denied to him earlier.

Well, in the old world it was generally accepted that elven souls were taken by Slaanesh, with some siphoned off by a couple of the elven gods. This was why High elves had stones to capture their souls at the time of death to prevent Slaanesh from consuming them; or Doomfire Warlocks offering other souls to avoid paying the price. Elven souls never went to Nagash in the first place. It is my belief that Nagash is not angered by not receiving Aelf souls, which were never his, but by the loss of human souls used by Morathi, and possibly others, to sustain the reforged Aelven races. The rumours surrounding the Deepkin are that they lack emotional capability and siphon this capability from others. If so, this may be as a result of their consumption by Slaanesh. It seems that Morathi may have avoided this problem by grafting human souls to her creations. Later creations by the Alven gods may have required similar solutions in order to resurrect the rescued Aelf souls in a sustainable way. I know this is just theory, but the idea of Nagash expecting Aelf souls has never felt right to me and the "Lost Souls" story seemed to offer the hint of a more plausible explanation. I'm sorry if this is a bit long-winded, but, as you know a lot more about the lore than I do, I would value your thoughts on this and whether there is any mileage in it.
