I’ve commented this on other videos but it’s worth repeating, the work being done on that wiring harness is enough to stop 99% of people from finishing this project. If you are able to get this thing wired up and working correctly it will be a minor miracle.
@MrArchie80011 ай бұрын
I think you’re underestimating that number, I’d say 99.99999%

Well said Mat. Opinions are like bum holes..........everyone has one! Some are just sh@t...............others are gold. The thing is this, Freddie and you Mat are doing things that 99% of us cannot do, and we have great enjoyment from all your productions.

@GhostTrader3711 ай бұрын
@PWNricky can you explain to me what is easy about rebuilding this car? You do realise nobody has done this before? You do realise the engine internals are now uprated? Oh and yes iam an ex race mechanic. There is nothing simple about building this car. People get lost with pinouts on connectors etc. That is the easiest part lol

He could keep all the hybrid busy bodies happy just stick a nice big Nos kit on it and rig that hybrid boost button to it problem solved with extra torque it would be rude not too😂
@TheOmegaRiddler11 ай бұрын
What you said discredits the work that they have done because Mat Armstrong's channel shows that anyone can do this if they put in the time and hard work. He started doing this in the car park of the restaurant he worked at and then in the driveway at his home. 99% of us can't rebuild a P1 McLaren because we can't afford it. But it doesn't mean we can't rebuild a car on our free time. It doesn't have to be an exotic car, it just has to be one we want.

Episodes in which you rebuild cars with such grace and experience, in which you have so brilliantly perfected, are better and better with each episode. I eagerly await each new episode, what will it bring, what course of action will you choose, what new obstacle will arise, it's simply like watching a detective story with a happy ending. Both of you are great at your job and you have admirers all over the world. Just don't stop doing what you enjoy, or we, the viewers, would lose one of the few things we love.

Had 2 left hand drive looms and a damaged RHD one and it sat on the garage floor for 2 weeks.... Mind you, when it was complete and back in the car, everything worked 1st time. As a retired heavy equipment mechanic, from mining, we would sometimes have to completely rewire a motor grader or excavator etc, we had schematics and we used Deutsch connector kit. You could even use Tyko toy manufacturer wiring connector kits. Superior to anything on a McClaren or otherwise. Just a suggestion

I like the direction of the P1. People that complain about the removal of the EVO unit dont understand racing. You fight three things to achieve high speed. Power, Weight , Aerodynamics. If you can replace the battery with more engine power and remove weight in the process you will certainly be faster than the original car. You're doing great. Keep the videos coming.
