This song makes me think of a powerful villain that everyone thinks is doing horrible things for selfish reasons. Like through the entire song it shows what they are doing and how terrible they seem. "Come now, if you surrender I promise not to kill you." But at the very end when the music is low and quite the villains demeanor changes. It then shows the villain talking about what they're doing and why. And they have a point. Like doing a bad thing for the right reasons. "This isn't who I am, but what they made me. I am no villian. I'm just a person who sees them for who they truly are. And that frightens them" Maybe its overthrowing a corrupt government or exposing some kind of organization for who they really are. It doesnt matter. This adds some understanding but the audience still knows that the villain has to go down. But in that moment of sympathy, the villain shakes away the softer demeanor and continues on. "But never mind that, we have bigger things to worry about. Be ready. I wont allow them to stop me. Not when I'm this close to destroying them"
