0:03 the real reason Cale started drinking was because Bason was getting (Bason is his younger step brother) and no one would accept another person to be the dukes wife so Cale pretended to be drunk and mean even though his alcohol tolerance was very high and he only went after criminals and evil nobles so in the end Cale made a reputation as trash for his family and did everything for his family although Deruth was a shit father

1. Deruth & OG!Cale relationship is hard to portray. I try to not villainise Deruth too much but I think I make him too good? That’s why with Jour POV she doesn’t know what to think about Deruth’s way of caring. But yeah, you’re right with that since I can’t really explain it that well! 2. Choi Han apologies is to kinda comfort Cale but Idk what to say in his thoughts to make him doesn’t seem too cruel cuz I think he’s a tsundere. And I believe Choi Han is a good kid, just in TBOAH he’s kinda depressed but yeah 😂 Love how you immediately understand ❤ 3. For Cale, it’s after Henituse War, just enough to have his priest disguise up and know Clopeh acting crazy. Cuz I also want to know what’s his reaction to the future, so he doesn’t know White Star. (It’s been a long time I’ve read the novel so it might not be accurate..) 4.
