Clark didn't get with Lana to hurt her. He just always thought of Chloe as a friend though, that's all. I mean, he was in love with Lana from the first time they might, and everything. Again, you can't help who you love PERIOD. This not only applies to them, it applies to everybody.

I feel for Chloe.... i was the crowned queen of unrquited love during most of my life... so I can realte to that feeling of watching someone you love giving their all to someone else. It also damages you ego... It gives you the idea that everyone's better, prettier than you. It does mess with your psyche. But in the end, Chloe got Ollie Queen, so that's really not too bad at all, is it??

Can someone tell me why exactly Clark "loves" Lana? She's treacherous, duplicitous, untrustworthy, jealous, not even that hot, constantly plotting and hiding things. Chloe always puts Clark's welfare above her own(okay not always), always helps him out, has REAL feelings for him, is willing to sacrifice her life for him and looks just unbelievably great. Clark has so many types of vision they have blinded him.

You really could make the argument that it's Clark's fault that Lex and Lana turned out the way they are because of Clark. A lot of issues in the show stemmed from Clark not being able to trust Lex or Lana.
