Izzie has always been the one who reminded the others what it means to be human and have a life outside of the OR. Especially in the first three seasons she was the light of the show and I hate what they did to her afterwards. She's overhated and deserved better.

So true. A lots of people are pissed off because of Alex's ending. But for me he was always better with Izzie then with Jo. Evan Jo also amazing Izzie always wake up something good in Alex and he was change because of her.

Izzie and Burke wouldn't work as a couple, but would've def worked as a mentoring relationship. Burke is cold in the OR, but a spiritual and emotional person outside of it and would've helped Izzie keep her human side but temper her emotions. And she calls him Preston, Cristina never did.

a baker and a cook go hand in hand if you look at the two of them on the thanksgiving episode burke and izzie was great together izzie would've made a great mother and burke would've made a great father I think that out of everyone burke would have been there for izzie during her battle with cancer izzie wanted to be taken seriously as a doctor asking burke to mentor her would've helped all the interns was envious of Cristina but not a single one of them tried to ask Webber shepherd Addison or burke to mentor them not a single one

izzie needed a man like Burke as a boyfriend cause Burke would've encourage izzie that she could succeeded as a surgeon and gave her opportunities to do surgeries in his OR like Cristina did but with izzie and Alex it was always about sex Burke took his job seriously and that's the kind of man izzie needed in her life to encourage her that she could be a dam good surgeon Cristina skills under Burke had her way ahead of all the other interns including Meredith izzie said she wanted to be taken serious as a doctor/surgeon getting with Burke would have made everyone take her serious she could've had a loving husband to encouraging her to do better, children when she went threw her cancer period izzie would've had a husband in Preston Burke that would have supported her 100% held her when she was in pain her shoulder to cry on threw the good and bad times when Cristina broke down and lost it NO ONE NOT EVEN MEREDITH could get near her or help her but BURKE comes in don't say anything he just looks at her and takes his coat off and holds and comforts her until she feels better that scene in season two was one of the best scenes I've have witnessed on a television show
