Back in 89', my baby nephew of only 18 months was murdered. Shot in the head execution style along with my older brother. That broke my family in a million peices and the healing process was at times very difficult especially for my sister and my mom. I just wanna say that it's gonna be very tough to get by in life after such a tragic incident but as long as you stay strong and have a support system and of course ask God every day for the strength to over come such sadness that a loss of a loved one in such a manner brings, and believe in him, I guarantee that it helps over time.💯💯

There was a homicide report in New Orleans I was reading. Basically it was a driveby. The shooters pulled off after they shot multiple people on a porch. 2 of them died immediately. The survivors grab they own guns and hopped in a car and followed the shooters. They knew who they were and where they were heading. The pulled up and saw 2 of the shooters go into a house and thats when they hopped out and lit the driver up. The driver of the driveby vehicle was killed instantly. He saw them creep up on him too but couldnt do anything 😂 Something about it is just so satisfying. I worked at central prison in Raleigh NC Unit 1 (lock up) then the last few months I was in Unit 6 (mental health) it was a fuck story in both and I saw a lot of shit I can’t forget. My supervisor was Sgt Jesse Artis I have my prison ID still and if you really care to see I’ll show it to you but like I said I genuinely could not give a crap if a couple randos on KZbin believe me or not. I can describe every inch inside and outside the prison I don’t know how that would help as you wouldn’t be able to just confirm it with a google search. Our shifts were 12.25 hours long (12 hour shifts but the extra 15 minutes was being at line up and getting our posts/instructions for the day while the other shift before relief stayed on post) again I can go on and on but there isn’t much way in validation because cameras/phones were absolutely forbidden. The wardens name was Eddie Thomas when I worked there and he was still warden when I left in 2019.

Jake, I work for the department of corrections in NC. Working on the eastern part of the state where Bertie is located. I had regular run ins with Short between two different facilities. He wasn’t a bad guy, but he was DEFINITELY a playmaker. I’m also on the Emergency response team and got the call when he died. When the body was recovered he had on him a weapon a phone and drugs. Also affiliated with Eight Trey. My guess, bloods wanted in, he said no and a war kicked off. There was also a inmate air lifted. 18 different people involved with Short’s murder.

From my experience of being in the same prison, you are absolutely right. Bertie is one of the toughest prisons in North Carolina. Inmates run that prison. Its all about gang shit in there. Your right it has nothing to do with him killing a 2 year old. Same thing with child molesters. Rarely do they get killed. They are treated with no respect and June bugged,but that's about it. Prison system is medium like all the other systems. Old school prison system he would have been dealt with for killing a 2 year old.
