By my calculation, a full 2ZZ swap including a C66 euro trans would run you about $5500 assuming you buy new parts and pay a shop the labor and sell the old 5 speed and engine for approx $600 each. Add $500-1000 for a C60 trans with LSD.

Hell yea brother. Mine isnt running atm cause oil pump messed up ( common 2zz prob🙄) but after i replace it and get it running in the mr2 i plan on turboing it. Hoping i can find some cheaper 9:1 pistons for higher boost. Alsp, still have the engine?

Love the vids man you got a new sub. Where'd you find your rods/pistons? My spyder fell victim to the pre cat failure, so going for a built 2zz and then turboing it down the road.

Patrick Wiseman I went to monkeywrench racing for basically 95 percent of my parts. they are a bit expensive. but worth every penny. mahle Pistons and stock rods (forged from factory)

John G. I blew up my built 2zz. The boost line for the wastegate broke off sending the boost to like 23 psi. The new 2zz I have I have some extra safeties for it.

C&R Garage how much time and labor is involved with swapping a 2003 matrix xrs. With a 2001 mr2. I want the 2zz from my matrix but don't really want to build it more than stock. I also have the ecu from an 01 Celica gts.

The Pontiac Vibe GT and the Matrix XRS are the best because they utilize the 2 piece intake manifold good for about 7-10 more hp.

it depends on a lot of things lol, if you have all the pieces which included: exhaust, intake, motor mount, oil dipstick, vvl connector and ecu (2000) than around 1000

I done a turbo on my 2zzge powered corolla used mwr for all my engine parts expensive as have you destroyed the transmission yet those c60s are soooooo weak
