Very nice! I like that you're willing to put in all the effort, but acknowledge the diminishing returns. Looking forward to your ginger series; ginger is such a great flavor that I've started to play around with so interested in your thoughts! cheers!

Thanks! Yea it was worth saying. The marshmallow simple syrup is awesome though. It’s grown on me since I filmed the video. My thoughts exactly. The ginger segment has been a blast to film! Hopefully you like the new cocktails I make in the medium/high complexity videos as much I do. Two of them are some of my all time favorites.

I use a s'mores flavored whiskey as the base spirit for my s'mores espresso martini. Might have to try this though. I DO sometimes put a cap filled with Mr. Black in my Old Fashions though

That’s a cool idea. I’ll have to try that as well. I can see coffee going extremely well with it. Honestly what I’ve found with this s’mores whiskey is that it’s great as a background flavor. Making s’mores the primary flavor works but some of the negatives of the whiskey stand out a bit more.

Great comparison! I would love to see a video on some Autumn seasonal drinks

Thank you! That’s a really cool idea. Honestly I should have taken advantage of the season more... A bit of a missed opportunity since I’ve already filmed the videos through October. That being said, my next four videos are a larger segment on ginger cocktails. The third video is coming up with a new ginger and pumpkin cocktail. It’s a great fall drink and I had a blast coming up with it.

I’d recommend the cheap old fashioned then :) it has more of a fireside vibe about it haha

great vid but mans does not know how to stir a cocktail though
@AnOdysseyInMixology4 ай бұрын
Haha noted. If it helps any, part of the reason it’s especially trash in the top down views is that the slo mo cam lens ends about two inches from the glass. It forces you to keep your hand off to one side making it awkward to let the spoon spin as it goes around… And I just liked the ice flying everywhere in slo mo 😂 no excuse for the other shot haha. I’m glad you liked the video though!

@@chaosaverage I appreciate it! Let me know if you see anything else that stands out. I’ve got a running list of little things that slipped through when I was filming. It’s been an interesting process for sure.

Great video! A middle of the road version for future use: Finely crush some graham crackers in a plastic bag. Pour onto a plate or low rimmed bowl. - 2 oz Woodford Double Oaked - 2-3 dashes woodford chocolate bitters - .25 oz rich Demerara syrup Mix the contents in a mixing glass with ice to dilute. - $5 cocktail smoker from Temu. Using oak chips. - Finely crush some graham crackers in a plastic bag. Pour onto a plate or low rimmed bowl. In a separate plate place a very tiny amount of simple syrup. - Dip 1/2 or a smaller portion of the Lowball glass into the simple syrup, then powdered graham cracker dust. Place large rock of ice in the glass. Torch oak chips over the lowball glass to create the nice campfire smoke. Pour contents of the mixing glass in while the glass is still full of smoke. Gentle store to incorporate. - garnish with 3 mini marshmallows or 1 large marshmallow on a large pick. Torch on 1 side of the marshmallows. Enjoy!

@@nickkatherina I love it! I think as a regularly drunken cocktail what you outlined there is the right move. It’s just the right amount of effort and doesn’t stray too far from the old fashioned baseline. Ex it’ll always go down easy. The graham cracker rim is something I originally overlooked but I’m gonna try your recipe this coming weekend. Only difference will be adding the marshmallow Demerara syrup since I’ve got a bottle of it now haha. Thanks for watching and commenting!
